It's a start, but I'm not digging the cross shaped halo. Reminds me of the Renegade's tail lights. But I'm excited to see true 9" projectors rather than 7" ones with brackets :)

To a large degree, I think you get what you pay for.

Since accurate and adequate lighting of the road is what the purpose of this modification is all about, I'd look for those attributes in information about whatever choice you make. The Retrofit Shop has a video on their Sealed 7 V2Super 7 (LED projector), and the JW Speaker 8700 Evo 2 dual burn. Their Sealed 7 V2 is by far the brightest and has excellent light placement/control, even better than the JW Speaker from what I saw. But I have read some guys on this forum were having issues with the wiring/connector stuff. Lights have to be reliable first, then reliable second, and reliable third. I'm not going thru the unreliability trade-off for more light I went thru on my truck with aftermarket harnesses, etc..

As for "true 9 inch" lights, measure the front of your grill opening for the headlight. It ain't 9". More light 7 1/8". To some guys it's all about what the looks of the installation are. I can't help with that.

Don't buy cheap ebay lights for a beautiful new JLU.
Save your money for Quake or Oracle lights. They cost more but will look way better and last much longer.

7” JK lights retrofit onto a bracket to stuff into the JL isn’t exactly what I would consider great.

I bought the said headlights above from eBay, possibly the first true 9" aftermarket LED headlights for the JL, will be arriving in a few days, going to get them installed and update back on the results! Stay tuned!

Spec looks good, High+Low beam feature, and claimed "plug-and-play DRL", we shall see..

Remember to take before and after pictures of the beam pattern and brightness on a flat surface! Reviews on these would be great.

So far so good, absolutely love these headlights, they look awesome in person and most importantly they aim low from the factory, no adjustments needed, sharp cut off! I’m going to paint the grille inserts as well in one go, writing up a detailed review, expect something soon!

Looks like nice output and a pretty distinct cutoff, look to be aimed pretty low, might want to raise them a bit (unless your JL is on a downward slope there). Do those have amber turn lights too?

Finally weekend and sunny day out to see the LEDs and the Jeep in all its glories.:giggle: These don’t have amber turns. The low cutoff was due to me installing washer preemptively but actually didn’t need them, I took them out after and it’s perfect.

Arrived in box, no instructions, first step was to weather-seal the connectors better using shrink wrap tape and crimp the DRL(red) cable to extension (white) cable provided. Connects directly into the original halogen plugs, except for the DRL cable.

Remove front grille and detach stock halogen headlight assemblies. (held by 3 bolts each)

Would like the ability to turn on-off my halo at will, so I joined both DRL extension cables together and crimped it into my Aux 4, feel free to splice it into your fender DRL or ignition if you wish.

Will be temporarily hooking the DRL to aux until I swap out the halogen fender housing for LEDs later. Ignition/Latching/Last-State-Recall, works just fine and functions like halo DRL, can also turn it off whenever I want.

You can adjust the headlights by adding washers behind the bracket.. plastic washers in photo. I first installed washer preemptively but found I actually didn't need them, they are aimed pretty low as is.

Halo+Low beam+High beam turned on (low beam will remain on during high beam), love this feature, won't sacrifice near-field illumination during high beam operations.

With washers, the cut-off is a bit low, note my parking garage is on a slight incline downward.

Took washers off, nice and sharp cut-off, super bright.

So you attached the DRL wire to one of your aux switches? Did you not want to wire it to the fender DRL for some reason?
