What do Heavy-Duty Rock Slider with Step Assist look like?

My understanding is they look like this...

Dealers tend to get cheap "off-road mods," tell unsavvy consumers that they're high quality parts, and charge a significant mark up. Based on the description, they could be incredible power assist steps, or they could just be some cheap nerf steps. You'll need to get more info.

Now, if you had some pics, some of the real smart folks on here would tell you what they were in a jiffy...

When you say you saw them on a window sticker, if it was the Window sticker from Jeep, I would assume the link below is what it refers to.

If what you saw was a dealer add on sticker, (usually placed on the side of the Jeep window sticker and then added to the price), then it could be any aftermarket part perhaps like ones previous responders put in their posts. The only way to know would be go check it out or call the dealer and see if they will send you pictures. Good luck finding your Jeep!

The problem with folks sharing pics of the Rock Slide and Ares systems--which are spectacular--is that none of them are called "heavy duty rock sliders with step assist." If the dealer's sticking on unbranded aftermarket parts, as @Pic18 and I are suggesting, these could be anything. You can't go by what you want them to be, need real information on what they are.

A call to the dealer or a few dealer pics here would clear that up...

They are featured on the MOAB Edition. They are essentially a beefier rock rail with a slight lip that extends out past the door edge that mimics a step. Just how functional is it for a "running board?" Ehhh...it does serve somewhat of that purpose; however, it does not extend down, away from the body of the Jeep. Overall, just a beefed up rock rail.

I have now learnt that these will come as standard on the JL when it arrives in Australia.

You photo is quite different to the one in post 3 of this thread.
