I didn’t know how tall it was compared to normal cars. I drove a normal car today and short cars looked tall. Felt like my hind quarters was on the pavement
Here's my other daily driver.:involve:

My daughter drives a 2008 bug convertible. She'll probably be selling it soon. Looks OK from ten feet or more away. Definitely not an award winner. And definitely looks small parked beside my Jeep.

I took delivery of my new JLU four years ago today. What I didn't know then is that I'd still enjoy driving it just as much today as I did when I pulled it out of the dealer's lot on that rainy, gray day in October 2020. That it's been 99% perfect for that period of time is the real chef's kiss here.

I didnt know it would get better. I test drove a Gladiator cause the plan was full overlander with a RTT on the bed. That thing drives and tracks amazing even on the 40psi the dealer leaves in the tires. Come to find out my wifes fear of heights also applies to RTTs and we pivot to the best Jeep, the 2 door.

Well special order shows up, its night and pouring rain when we pick it up and the first drive after signing the papers to dinner was eye opening. The Jeep dove all over the road and felt like trash and I was questioning my life decisions at that point. Lower the tires to 30 and put a missing bolt in the steering stabilizer and now I cant imagine driving anything else.

Yup. Also manual shifting of the auto trans. I use that feature often as I have very long steep downhills in my area (10+ mi of road w/ 1 mile elevation drops). You can easily tell who doesn't downshift. By the bottom they absolutely reek of overheated brakes. ACC & manual downshifting is easy mode and doesn't overheat the brakes.
I dont interpret well these days so excuse me if I am repeating what you said.

But lets say the speed limit is 35mph and I am going down hill. Ill set the cruise and just let the Rubicon run the 8 speed transmission. If at the top of the hill and its in 6th gear for 35mph it will automatically down shift to 3rd gear before the bottom of the hill. All while keeping the vehicle within 3-4 mph of the set speed of 35mph.

Being and older person with leg issues, I use the cruise allot even around town. I started that 5 years ago with my 2003 Suburban 5 speed transmission. Now with the Jeep its even better. Never have to worry about a ticket and if I hit the brake I just hit resume once past 20 mph and the Jeep takes over. Setting the cruise lets me concentrate more on driving also.

I don't know about standard cruise, but adaptive will use the brakes to slow you down. That can be "bad" on long descents.
