Playing in Colorado Rockies!!
First scratches obtained today. Lots of over growth on the trail.
Very useful information. Thanks.
No sir. I can’t believe how much snow there is!! We tried Mt. Antero earlier in the week and if you have been on that trail before after the main climb up to come into the canyon where the river is next to the trail. Multiple avalanches have taken out the trail. Snow depth is between 10-15 feet deep and then there are boulders and trees blocking it. I am skeptical as to if it will open this year at all. Tincup pass is closed due to avalanche conditions. Hancock pass isn’t accessible as the road has snow on it that is multiple feet deep. We couldn’t even get close to the trail head. Mary Murphy mine and Pomeroy trail is snowed in at the Mary Murphy Aerial Tramway. Even over on Marshall pass at the top it is passable but i had my son stand next to some snow for an idea of what is left up there.
