I hit Peters Mill Run today and it was a piece of cake. I could have run the entire thing in 2wd but I wanted to have the sway bar disco’d to smooth out the ride some.

I met 7 other Jeepers at the gas station where I picked up my permit. They passed me while I was airing down and then I caught up to them while they were doing the same.

Five of the seven Jeepers had never been off-road. I helped several them air down - and one air up after she let too much air out of her tires.

They welcomed me into their group ride as if I’d known them for years. The Jeep community never fails to amaze me.

It was awesome watching the first timers get exposed to off-roading. They met each challenge head on and kept a smile on their faces the entire time.

The kids and I had a blast - I’ve earned badges from much harder trails, but this one will always be a little special because it’s the first one I earned with my girls.

Went on a run through Slaughterhouse Gulch with Patrol 12 of the Mile High Jeep Club. Slaughterhouse is a moderately challenging trail north of Bailey, CO, accessed off CR 43A.

I drove my 2019 JLUR to the local dealership with one of my best friends. Then helped him order his 2019 JLUR so he could travel with me.

I took my deal with me to help him negotiate the price. He came in at 7% under invoice. So now the waiting begins for his JLUR to arrive. He is ordering wheels, 37s, a lift and the Tazer. Then the upgrades start the day it arrives.

He is also retired. He has rode motorcycles and atvs all over this great country with me for the past 25 years. He said, "I am not buying a Jeep!" He has a permanent spot in the Motorhome when we go. I left him home one time...... and now he will be sporting a new JLUR.

FINALLY! I finally got my Jeep off the pavement! It wasn't a glorious or beautiful place like some of the photos above, just the local off-road park, but it was a good opportunity to learn a bit about my JL. Our daughter and her boyfriend were up from Southern California and I let him drive it a bit. He had a blast and loved it.

Had some fun in the Colorado Rockies, trail was a little skinny and now I have new Pin striping on the roof and sides I’m told that it’s adds character, but I still feel every branch.

Coolest part was seeing a HUGE bull moose If you look really close you can see him hiding in the trees.
