I camped with a Mountain View. Drank coffee at sunrise in Arizona, then drove to Truth and Consequences in New Mexico and then cruised the reservoir at Elephant Butte.

Drove it from north of Detroit to Pigeon Forge TN for a week away from the cold and miserable weather. Rest of the family will be here tomorrow.

First long drive after the re-gear to 5.13’s and 37’s and I gotta say I am extremely happy with the mpg. From door to door we averaged 19.8mpg.

Drive should have taken about 9 hours with a stop for fuel and a couple restroom breaks but we got stuck in 3 20+ minute accident backups where we did a max of 10mph. Ended up taking 10 1/2 hours. Brought the camper fridge as well and that was probably the best decision ever. Had dinner all set as soon as we got here and have breakfast and lunch for the week without having to rush to a store.

I spent another day in paradise with my JL today, aka Moab!

Ok, so I chose a bad line coming off this ledge. See that big fresh scrape about 4 feet to the left of the main line? Yeah, that's mine. And not only did I change my skid plates from looking like a virgin to looking like a well ridden whoor, absolutely everything on the rear of the Jeep drug when it came off. It was super slow, but the receiver hitch, the tow hook, all four exhaust tips, and the spare tire drug on that one.

Took it to the beach today to photograph shorebirds. The sand was pretty deep in spots, not too bad where the picture was taken. Used a long lens, so no background detail.

Well, I drove it to buy a new refrigerator instead of getting the new tires installed tomorrow

Our 5yr fridge crapped the bed 3 days ago ... tech came today and the quote given to fix the fridge turned out to be the same as the cost of the new fridge bought today, delivery (on Saturday), install and removal of old fridge

Now the new Falken Wildpeak A/T3 315/70/R17 tires installed on the Borah JK wheels will need to wait till next week

Our freezer stopped working literally one week after the expiration of the extended warranty (something that I rarely purchase, but did that time...ugh). A quick google of the symptoms and I diagnosed a blocked auto-defrost drain. A quick visit to YouTube University and we were back up and running <1 day later. I was fortunate that this was an analog problem.

Got key new set of Mickey Thompson MTZ Legends yesterday afternoon and promptly tested them out
Didn’t get a picture on the mountain but here’s after, most of the mud came off on the morning commute but dang I’m loving these tires!
