I did nothing with my jeep today. I really need a break from the stupid thing. Worked on my guns instead.

Solo ride on the trails at Redbird SRA. Trees, mud, hills, repeat!

I've heard the mud at Redbird is no joke, and I imagine after the rain that hit Indiana Sunday (assuming they got even a fraction of what we got at my house) it had to be real bad. And you went solo?

We travel and jeep constantly and end up going solo 90 percent of the time. We saw a motorcycle and nobody else out riding while we were there. It was muddy, but looked like it has been worse. The dirt section of trail 0 was dry but terribly rutted and being graded while we were there. They have recently repaired much of 3 and 5 with rocks. Sections of 5 are rerouted. Those two trails weren't too bad and a stock JL should be fine there right now. Big Bertha was pretty fun. We took an easy route up and down, it was all dry.

Trail 3 area was confusing but I understand it now. We got in the challenge areas and we were happy to make it out without damage. Those were the most fun spots for me.

I judged 3x and 2x impassable without constant winching or sliding into a tree in a mudhole or deep rut. We turned around on 3x pretty quickly and wished we had others around to go with or just watch.

I prewalked 2x from the South and decided to enter on the North side. We didn't make it far before turning back. We jumped on again at the NE entrance and got a bit further. We ended up hiking the NE loop portion. That trail is one I'd like to sit and watch Jeeps traverse. Just search YouTube for an idea of how fun "or bad" it is.

Overall a great set of trails, try to visit when dry, and a much different challenge than wheeling Utah.

not today, but last weekend. Went up to Crandon, WI for the 26th JJUSA-Northwoods (970 miles from home). Had a blast and wheeled with some awesome people. Highly recommend it.

Did Poison Spider today with my daughter. We had a great time. A little challenging for a stock JLU Rubicon with 35s., but we made it through ok. We took our time scouting the lines. V-Notch was the only bypass we took, otherwise stuck to the medium-hard lines.

We did get hung up one time for a bit. I was a little worried for a few minutes because we were the only ones on the trail. Luckily I was able to work it free.

Great views once you get to the top of the Mesa.

Ran Minden Hydro Line today. Part of the trail claimed the front differential of a Liberty, but we got everyone out.

Did the 10k tire rotation and hit Northwest OHV in Bridgeport TX. The area has had many small fires, and the back section was closed yesterday due to an active fire. Got a few new first descents (for me) this trip, highlighted below with the black circles. The one on the bottom left of the map would be a good assent trail with a small group. "No winch hill" is the one on the top right. Not a bad descent but it could be a bear to go up. Gave the skid plates and rock rails a good workout.

I changed the oil and filter on my wife's Jeep. She's put 16k on it in 8 months for a total of 21,200. Yikes!

I'm running Mobil 1 EP 0w20 exclusively with this Jeep since she's racking them up so fast. I shoot for 5k intervals but some will go to 7k or even 8k depending on when I can get to it. This time she went 5,700.

I also changed out the air filter. It had at least 15k on it. While dirty, it could've gone a good bit longer.
