As a follow up to post #6278…..
A week ago. 3-23-22. Took the JLURD truly off road for the first time….
I mentioned the diesel, but didn’t expand on it.
The diesel and 8-speed were truly awesome to drive off-road. Every hill and climb were effortless, as far as pedal work. Just tap the gas (diesel) and the torque would just walk it up or over whatever. (Except as noted before). No hard gas or revving required.
The downhill assist, after the learning curve, would crawl down any hill, at the speed determined by the gear. Brake pedal not needed, except to stop.
Just a marvelous combo!
