Not necessarily today, but I took the family on a cross country road trip from Florida to Arizona to see the Grand Canyon, spent a night boondocking in the desert high above the Colorado River, then drove to Colorado and did Black Bear Pass and Immogene Pass, then one last boondocking night before heading home. It has truly been an EPIC trip that we will never forget.

Phew! Glad you didn't show a map with a circle around my address in SoCal. :giggle:
Thats on the other map. There is no way I am doing that on google map. My phone would tell on me. Be on the look out for a 1998 SBXJ. No gps locator on it, so to find me they would have to do it the old fashion way and well a lot of law enforcement just is not going to look that hard..... The only thing that might save you is a good cup of coffee. lol.

Did some camping around Williams AZ. Weather was very all over the place. Blue sky, then raining, then back to blue sky. Really cool thunder and lighting at night.

Over the weekend we did a full mock pack up of the Jeep and camper like we were leaving for an eleven month expedition. Did some additional mods to our camper, and fine tuned our process for packing the Jeep.

We laid out everything that we plan to take with us on our planned trip to wheel all the western states from Arizona/Mexico boarder to Dead Horse Alaska and back to Michigan. January 1st will be here before we know it.
I’m curious what’s gonna be much different than some of your 2-3 weeks road trips.
More spare gas? More spare parts/fuses?
Plan on fishing for food or anything?

Was yesterday but we hit 2N10 and then 3N69, aka Gold Mountain. Badge of Honor Trail. The second waterfall required some rock stacking to get thru. Another beautiful day and great Jeeping.

I didn't get any pictures, but I took it wheeling on the new 35s. I went to one of the first trails I attempted while it was stock. I went up to the nasty looking creek crossing with several truck bumpers washed up in the weeds, and I drove right across that bitch without even sweating. All with my crappy 3.45 gears.

This thing is going to be funnnnnn now! 😁 😁 😁 🤪 🤪 🤪 😁 😁 😁

Major drawback: Now I can apparently throw rocks at my own windshield. Also, this thing rides like the sway bars are disconnected when they aren't. Woof. A bobtail road tractor handles better than this thing.

We have to pack for different seasons also. a two or three week trip is easier for things like clothing. We don't need cloths for different seasons and different type of environments. Or a screen tent or additional tools. My wife also want to bring backpacks with additional camping gear so that we can hike away from the camper for a day or two if necessary to get to locations that are only accessible by foot. So this also means additional shoes........for her.

I have found that what is necessary for me is by NO means what is necessary for her. Just for example, she has to have running shoes, a pair of crocks, hiking shoes, a pair of sandals and water shoes. I have found there are things that we can live with out for a couple weeks, and things that we may not want to live with out for 11+ months.

Lots of planning required! Packing and having it accessible will be an exercise in itself!
