Retired from Corrections....I have stories.
Took my wife for a ride with the top and doors off. She had a long and stressful day working at the Prison and needed some Jeep air in her hair.

Back story. She does intake classification. Meaning she sits down with incoming prisoners, interviews them, goes over their crime and then decides what they will do while in prison, what custody level they will be and so on. She is one of two people that handles all the sex offender cases. She deals with horrible stuff. Two of the people she dealt with yesterday were sex torture and the killing of children.

Jeep therapy and some chill music was dire need. She has about 85 more working days before retirement. She also specializes in gangs. She has often consulted with outside Law Enforcement. It is funny, so young guy will come into her office all tatted up with gang tats and try and tell her that he is not a gang member. In casual observation, no one would expect that she has been a prison gang specialist for approx 15 years. She also handle all of the intake for gang members to the Prison system.

A lot of expertise will be lost when she retires.

definitely takes a special person to work in the prison system, and jail systems. i can deal with murderers, but knowing someone is a sexual predator for kids under 13 thats a bitch and a half to stomach. Especially seeings i have a 12 year old son.

Congratulations on her soon to be retirement.

Knowledge loss is a real thing nowadays. So many stories and experiences are lost because everyone figures they can just Google everything instead of acutally listening to first-hand accounts.

That's why I try to pass on my film camera knowlege whenever I can.

I'd bet your wife can make some good spare change on her own hours, freelancing some classes.

She will be to busy to freelance. We are going to Jeep all the western states. Basically from Arizona to Alaska. Leave the Prison life behind us and start a new chapter in life.

Went for a nice countryside drive including one of Bucks County's historic covered bridges. This one has a couple ghost stories attached to it. First that the bodies of horse thieves can be seen hanging from the interior beams. Second that a young child drowned in the creek below, which gives the bridge its nickname "The Crybaby Bridge"

Picked up a calf raise machine from CL today.
I removed the rear seat, folded the front passenger seat all the way forward and it fit with no problem.
The calf raise machine is 52” long, and I still had about 5” - 6” additional inches to spare.
Of note, removing the rear seat from my JL was noticeably more cumbersome than it was on my JK b/c the rear seat is wider in the JL than in the JK. I had to wrestle/wiggle it out.
Love my two doors!
Cheers/B
