I did Fins and Things today while at Jeep Jamboree in Moab. It was fun and I have received my first (and maybe last?) badge of Honor. For folks that like the driving challenge of something like Fins or Hell’s revenge, etc. It’s a GREAT trail. But I am more Inclined to like a trail that takes me places — like yesterday: Chicken Corner was terrific! — than I am a 9 mile circular loop that slams my Jeep around and bottoms me out on a ledge 7 times. And today really proved that to me.

anyway, it was fun to do ONCE. And I would highly recommend everyone try it..... it will help you determine what kind of jeeper that you are.......

edit: I will say this...... a Jeep Rubicon is an AMAZING vehicle. A trail like this does teach a guy like me just how amazingly capable a Jeep really is. Shocking, actually.

I've given it the old college try, as it concerns attempting to convince my wife give the Jeep a go when the weather requires it. "One lever movement into 4 Hi and you're golden", say I.

Nope. She admits to being spoiled by her AWD Honda CR-V EX, which does everything except make her morning coffee.

Suggestions welcome. Or perhaps this isn't a hill to die on.
Maybe not that hill, but I hope she comes around.

I took to it like a duck to water when my husband got his JK. We were in Arizona visiting our daughter and her fiancé and took them on some trails. My daughter was a very nervous passenger. She finally drove on a trail and immediately *loved* it and was a lot more comfortable. Thankfully.

Went with a great group up gold mountain in big bear. They added a little rock garden gate keeper to the beginning which was pretty fun, then had to stretch the legs a little. So So love The 3 link set up with the coilovers.

Exercised a little social distancing in the Great Smoky Mountains and made a stop at Cades Cove. Traffic in the loop was a little heavy so we took Rich Mountain Road to escape to the chaos. Not 300 yards in we met our first black bear. Another six miles in found a spot to relax a little, great views of the cove, and another resident.

If you're ever in the Smokys and stuck in the Cades Cove loop traffic, I highly recommend taking the Rich Mountain Road route to Townsend. About 4 miles in and across from one of the old churches after Sparks Lane. One way traffic, lightly traveled, quiet, mostly gravel, and very easy. You will not be disappointed.

I went exploring today on some random trails near Mt Pilchuck. This one started out as easy gravel that any 4x4 can drive on, but I found some more technical spots/branches as I kept climbing. I was debating turning around and heading home when I decided to go just a little bit further to see what was up ahead when I found this gem of a spot, the photos don't really capture how expansive the view is from up there. Glad that I didn't turn around early.

It was a good day, a new baby 2.0l sarge green was born, here she is with daddy. Ready to take on some adventures and grow up to be a strong independent Jeep.

Congratulations! Do you have a game plan for it? Interested in seeing it chase daddy down Mod Avenue.

Haha not entirely sure yet, my girlfriend will figure out what she wants and ill help with a relative direction. Luckily theres a lot more options out now than when i started lol. id at least like it capable enough to do most trails so we can always have two rigs going. However i feel like ive said that before.
