Nicely done!Packed her up to head back home from the camp... we hate leaving!!!!
But we accomplished a lot this weekend.... pretty much finished the bedroom.....
Looks pretty well strapped down. I wouldn't want to go too fast with it though! Overall a pretty cool idea, though. Have to remember that one, though I have a 6x12 utility trailer so I'm more likely to hook that up than to drop the windhshield.Didn’t eat a single bug on the 2 mile trip home
Took low-traffic streets on the way home, 35 MPH max with the windshield down. Thanks to the so-called aerodynamics of our JLs, the wind through the cab will rip your face off if you go faster!Looks pretty well strapped down. I wouldn't want to go too fast with it though! I can't imagine it's any worse than riding an iron horse!!!Took low-traffic streets on the way home, 35 MPH max with the windshield down. Thanks to the so-called aerodynamics of our JLs, the wind through the cab will rip your face off if you go faster!
For reference, here’s the the lumber & pipe lengths I’ve hauled in my JLU:
16’ (see earlier pic) - windshield down & back window out, strap to front d-ring & cargo area tie-downs
10 to 12’, no flex - back window out, rest on dash & tailgate, strap to spare & cargo area tie-downs
10’, flexible - angled right-front to left-rear, all inside
8’ - arm rest to cargo area, all inside
