Wranglers are not known for being great cargo haulers but I did bring this home in the back of my JLU over the weekend to better serve the needs of my tinkering on the Jeep.

Nice! I did the same thing a few weeks ago and picked up a very similar tool box. It fit but barely.

Goler Wash- Mengel Pass - Butte Valley

Once you get over Mengel pass things open up in Butte Valley and you are well into the lesser travelled parts of Death Valley. There are numerous old mining cabins and the "Geologist Cabin", most of which are maintained by offroading groups which is awesome.

On the way out made two very rare sightings. One was a Panamint Alligator lizard, sorry couldn't get a clear picture of this guy:

Then as it was getting dark, right before the mouth of the canyon my wife spotted this Nelsons Bighorn. It was getting dark and hazy but I managed to get a couple of shots as he showed off his rock climbing capabilities. Again apologize for the crappy photo quality:

Not a hardcore wheeling trip, a few moderate to difficult sections over Mengel pass, but a great sightseeing/exploring day away from the crazies.

imy buddy is building a sami right now. currently adding a 6" lift in prep for 33" tires and a diesel swap. thing is amazing off road

one guy that we offroad with (a long time ago) ran a toyota axles, suspension, motor, trans, t case, etc. it had a nice stance and wide set up. ran pretty good on the trails.

I've never heard of VOSWITCH, how does that compare to SPOD?

Ive not seen the SPOD in person, but the VOSWITCH does the job and is cheaper. I assume some of the button panel would be better on the SPOD, but i didnt want to pay the money for it. It's been working well so far.

Visiting Colorado looking for fall color. Drove the Georgia Pass road near Breckenridge this morning. The north side of the pass was "interesting". The aspens are at peak color in a lot of areas.

Not my normal Jeep Adventure. But it was raining and the family was with me on the way back from the Smokies. Took it for a trip down US129 aka the Tail of the Dragon.

Drove the Cinnamon, California and Hurricane passes between Lake City and Silverton, CO. The maximum elevation was just under 13,000' which was at Cinnamon Pass. The Jeep did fine, the wife not so much.

Took a mid week trip out to Joshua Tree NP and surrounding desert for some desert exploring and light/moderate off roading. Still getting a feel for my JLUR, it is a very different beast from my former built JKU. The JLUR performed well, but clearly still needs a few tweaks and upgrade.

Stock JLUR on 35” BFG KO2s during desert “overlanding” shake down run. ~190 miles of desert trails and wash board roads in under 6 hours. (Yes I had a second proven Jeep with me.)

After work, my wife and I put the Bestop Sunrider top down, we drove up to the Santa Cruz mountains and picked up some wine from one of the wineries that my wife belongs to. Beautiful early fall weather.

Reminded me how much I enjoy my JL Sport.
When I am not driving my Jeep enjoy my Sierra Denali.
