What a beautiful place!
Toquerville Falls Utah, close to Zion. My uncle lives in La Verkin right up the road in his dream retirement home, we went to visit and spent a whole week offroading. And it has a nice gnarly 4x4 trail to get in, had to rescue two other vehicles that shouldn't have been on that road. Recommend it to anyone in that area for a fun day trip.

Not today but this weekends trip (just got pics uploaded) was to Cerro Gordo road, up to the old Cerro Gordo mining ghost town, across the Saline Salt Tram road (very narrow shale road that skirts along several valleys, no pull offs or turn around for several miles. Several thousands of feet drop on one side the whole way), to the Saline Salt Tram ruins, and back out the loop. Road past the mines hasn't been maintained in years and was some pretty gnarly 4 low for a couple of long stretches, took 6 hours to do 37 miles and was an epic trip. Going across the top of the Inyo mountains at around 10K you have Death Valley on one side and Owens Valley/ Sierra Mountains on the other, very scenic. Very lightly traveled road as it is pretty rough getting in and out. We took some bumps and scratches on the bottom of the Jeep but nothing serious.

Saline salt flats in death valley below, about 9800 feet elevation:

Dusty little desert dog got cold and was shivering (it was 49F up top), dug out his cold weather gear:

Saline salt tram station remains, very cool place:

Google Saline salt tram for the full history and more pics. Anyway, it was an awesome day trip, left us a little beat up from bouncing around in the jeep for hours and got us out of the desert heat which was awesome.

Almost forgot, random Jeep glamour shot:

That rascal was first in line with two supersize coupons when they were handing out ears, I reckon, Jim.
Good looking pup.
