Yep, nothing like a day of good ol' manual labor to rejuvenate the body and soul. I'm due for some yard cleanup with tge UTV and log splitting. But it's 70 in the Ozarks on February 3, so I'm riding my summer bike!!!

First towing expedition! We took the motorcycle trailer on her maiden voyage to the metal fabrication shop a mere five miles away to (hopefully) modify the side ramps (Not shown--they're in the back of the Jeep rather than messing with attaching them to the trailer. MUCH easier to just throw them in the back, but this trailer is designed to be towed by cars as well) so I don't lose my feet when loading and unloading my (matching!! ) NINJA 400.

The Jeep had no problem towing the load and I LOVED being able to see my bike out the back window to make sure he's behaving back there. Hopefully with the mods, I'll be able to trailer my bike to the Appalachians this summer!

How easy is it to retrieve the underslung spare tire while the trailer is loaded? Just curious. My moto trailer positions the spare on the topside.

Good question. If I had to hazard a guess....I'd say impossible. But the trailer only weighs 300 pounds, and the bike not much more than that. I suppose you'd have to manage to unload the bike, stand up the trailer (It can be stored vertically. Note to self: Bring along third storage wheel, just in case.), and retrieve the spare.

I spent some quiet time with a family member.

Remnants of yesterday's freezing rain storm made for a cautious exit...and I still almost slid out on to the road at the exit.

Applied a rough polish to random spots of my undercarriage by choosing poor lines and/or sliding off boulders on a favorite local trail.

Dry rocks—no problem. Wet sand and dirt—no problem. Wet and sandy tires on later rocks—cringy scraping noises.

Got through on third attempt with the help of outside observers.

Still more fun than a trip to the mall.
