Went with my boys (sons) and the boyz (friends) and their boys (sons... well mostly and one daughter) on an adventure looking for a well know plane wreck in the mountains. Didn't find it, but did find some good laughs, bumps, and scrapes.

(Two of our rigs still have temp plates and one had classic car plates with enough rust to to fill a bucket)

Nothing special. My 1941 Threedom Key Lock Caps finally showed up after 11 days in mail. My doors are off and put away so will put them on later date.

My rescue, Dorian, had a appt. for the Feline Purevax rabies vaccination, and his 2nd FVR-CP. I gently placed the loaded carrier in the back of the JLU and off to the vet we went.

They use a squirt of Easy Cheese to distract cats when the injections are given.

I'll be honest: as a child, I might have appreciated the same accommodation.

The privacy towel worked to keep him calm and silent all the way to the vet's office. On the drive home, however, I'm sure I achieved 25 mpm (meows per mile).

I have kept up with your rescue kitten. I have shown people a lot. I have rescued most of my cats over my life. My latest one was 8 years ago. Took me 2 long winter months to get him to let me touch him. He lived in the woods by the lake and was skin and bones even I first saw him. I feed him for those 2 months and that helped him some. When I was able to get near him to touch him he tore my hands and arms up. But I got him in carrier. Off to the Vet he went to be fixed and dewormed and had really bad case of ear mites. I have to say he is the smartest cat I have had. He is spoiled rotten and he knows it. He is most happy when he sleeps on my lap. Which is ALL THE TIME.

Nine months prior to Dorian's roadside rescue, we adopted this fellow from the local Humane Society.

I didn't want another cat, having just lost our previous one to age-related health issues.

Of course, I lasted all of 3 days between saying Goodbye and saying Hello. 😼

Now if this one would just take a bit less interest in the soft top...

@NewJLU2019

Well, I have places in multiple States.... Presently, I am in Upstate NY ...... about 105 miles North of NYC.

This time of the year, once cold sets in a bit, the nests are abandoned for good......

This AM, one of the nests I harvested had one remaining, half live Paper Wasp in it that fell out it was near dead...

As mentioned the nests I got today were all approx. 18-20" long and had a diameter of about 30"+-.

All that I harvested today, I used a 27' extension pole with cutter on the end to get the nest with. You cut the branch the nest is attached to and it drops 30+ feet to you.... and you catch it mid air so to speak with your hands.... My gal pal is a very good catcher.. 8-)

Amazing that Wasps as small as they are, and in one Season, build/create such a huge nest...

Once the nest is abandoned at the end of the Season, the nest is no longer used... it is abandoned for good.

Just before the cold weather sets in the Queen Wasp abandons the nest and finds a crevice, etc. nearby to reside in for the Winter...

In the Spring, she comes out and a new Paper Wasp Nest is started nearby where the old nest was...

Harvested Paper Wasp Nest,, if in decent shape, are worth quite a few $.
Taxidermists (to use with a mount/display) and collectors buy them up.

Here is another I got a few days ago:

I left the Jeep parked, for deployment later today. I instead took Offspring's vehicle to the Honda dealer for replacement of the non-functioning air blend motor.

No interior heat until it's replaced, and late Oct weather in PA is predictably cold, gray and wet. 'Twas a chilly-ish drive in this morning.

The service writers walk around the vehicles with an iPad, filming the exterior condition of each one. I'd guess this could serve to protect the interests of the dealer or the owner, depending.

Princess trying to look grumpy. Had to tell him, take the battery out or push the chain guard forward.. WTF you are a lumberjack in real life. LOL.

We gave out candy bars, but if you had an awesome costume or a good hustle, I had 10 of the KING SIZE bars that I handed out.

Earlier in the day came out of the gym to find a nice 2dr Rubicon parked next to me.

And sold the SBXJ for a couple hundred more than I bought it for. Loved it, but I don't want it sitting around for the next year or two while we travel. The thinning of toys is almost done.
