Camped out of my 4xe with my partner and a friend at FS 4w301 in the Hawkins ORV, near Roslyn, WA.

I ran about half the 4wd trail before returning to the main road to reach our hiking trailhead. The awning, and our setup seems to be working out well.

I see you moved the rack mounts.

Great setup you have there. How much time would you say it takes to open and close the awning, with one person?

Yes, I moved them; thanks for the heads up on that. Your description of "peeling off the rain gutter" was a great motivator!

I've only opened it a few times now but it's maybe 2 minutes to open, set up the 3 extra poles, and attach the straps which tension the outer most "bat wing" tips. I strap both tips to the front, passenger side rack mount.

Closing is more like 4-5 minutes including stowing the poles & winding up the straps.

This isn't typical off road stuff, but here are pictures of my adventures this week. The Outsiders movie house where the Curtis Brothers lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Twister movie museum, Dorothy I, Aunt Meg's house location and a funtional tornado siren in Akita (Tornado Alley), Oklahoma, windfarm near Akita Oklahoma, the Golden driller Statue in Tulsa, Oklahoma and a stop on Route 66 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Edit: added a picture of the Twister movie museum.
