Just got back from a 2000 mile trip in the Jeep. San Diego to Prescott, to Monument Valley, Mexican Hat, Valley of the Gods, Moki Dugway and Muley Point, on to Natural Bridges National Park, around Lake Powell to The Burr Trail, on to Brice then Zion. Then the real reason for the trip, to hike The Wave in northern Arizona.

Looks like a good trip. How long was your trip?

I went to Home Despot for some mulch. Of course it didn't go as far in reality as it did in my head, so a second trip was necessary.

Undoing the soft top window for loading and unloading was no factor. The periodic wailing & gnashing of teeth regarding that task is something of a mystery to me.

Agreed. Did you just flip it up onto the roof?

Yep. That's really the only thing I can do.

I'm not uber-confident about the retention design of the JL-generation side windows (as I was with my YJ), so I do leave the rear window in situ unless it and the side panels are removed to lower the top.

Went for a drive and ended up following this guy for a bit. Anyone make the model and year? I could not get a look at anything but the rear before I turned off.

Trying to get this high centered 3/4 ton diesel get off the snow bank. When I was hooking up to him I could hear my front right tire was leaking. I picked up a 1/4 inch bolt in the center of the tread. I plugged it and then back into the wet muddy snow. I could not get him off, I slid in the mud and he was to far off the surface to help with traction. What a day... Forest service truck came up and with a chain pulled, "IE" jerked the guy out of the snow bank.

Went out and got muddy on a couple trails. We hit Rollins Pass East near Rollinsville, CO and Bunch School Road a bit further north. We had a great time but also had to take a break to extract others. One was a stock 4runner that tried a snow drift he had no business hitting. The other was a broken down Gen 1 Raptor I had to pull off the trail. He had help coming so we just needed to get him clear of everyone else..

Fun times.

We took a nice trip to Caroline Beach! Skip the parking lots, skip the long walks hauling your beach gear. Just pull right up to the surf and have a good time!

Drove through Soda Lake in the Mojave desert, one of my favorite off-roading moments so far. Lots of fun to floor it, especially in the loose sand parts.

Shot with a Skydio 2.

Hello, @kurt rustle Curtis here. Went off forum mostly late last year. Retired Jan 1st I guess have just missed you on the forum. I was going through my PM's and saw you on it and looked and here you are. Just wanted to say hello. Ordered my retirement Rubicon early in year. I will keep an eye out now. Take Care.
