- Retired from Corrections....I have stories.
Took my wife for a ride with the top and doors off. She had a long and stressful day working at the Prison and needed some Jeep air in her hair.
Back story. She does intake classification. Meaning she sits down with incoming prisoners, interviews them, goes over their crime and then decides what they will do while in prison, what custody level they will be and so on. She is one of two people that handles all the sex offender cases. She deals with horrible stuff. Two of the people she dealt with yesterday were sex torture and the killing of children.
Jeep therapy and some chill music was dire need. She has about 85 more working days before retirement. She also specializes in gangs. She has often consulted with outside Law Enforcement. It is funny, so young guy will come into her office all tatted up with gang tats and try and tell her that he is not a gang member. In casual observation, no one would expect that she has been a prison gang specialist for approx 15 years. She also handle all of the intake for gang members to the Prison system.
A lot of expertise will be lost when she retires.
