Your welting looks nice, I could never get mine to stay in place. Removed it when I found one of the rear ones missing.

What did you use for welting Lou? I "installed" 3/8" solid core just before a 4,000 mile trip and, so far, it has held up fine.

Ditched the black wheels, for the titanium method 704s. Thought I would change out the perfectly good stock Firestone’s for the Firestone 285/70/17 while I was at it.

I used "Trim-Lok Rubber Tubing Seal – .276” Outside Diameter, .206” Inside Diameter, 25’ Length – Closed Cell EPDM Foam Tubing". From amazon. seemed like it would have worked...

If you ever decide to try it again buy some of the 3/8" solid core. I think that you will be pleased with that approach.

Took two of my kids to Chiricahua National Monument to do some hiking, then go to Johnny Ringo's gravesite and then to Tombstone, AZ. Had a great time and the Jeep drove fantastically on highways, back roads and easy dirt roads. It can handle all that and then go crazy places off-road. That is the beauty of the machine.

That is the great thing about Jeeps, they can do the everyday and even mundane duties other vehicles can do and when you want to you can climb, crawl and drive to places that would destroy the majority of other vehicles. You were using you Jeep in Clark Kent mode, but you can always breakout the spandex and cape if you want to.

Put a rear bumper on. Drove to local micro brewery to "reward" myself......anything for a frosty brew.

Went out to johnson valley for a long arm shake down run. Wish i would have gotten long arms a long time ago. Found some clearance things i need to fix and need some heavier springs lol
