This will probably have some people shaking their heads. After 5,500+ miles we finally drove the jeep when it was dark enough to turn the headlights on. Those LED lights are really bright! :like:

Later,
Johnny

Just got back from a quick trip to Colorado but did not get many pics. Only had one day to wheel. I did get to do Yankee Boy and Governor Basins plus Imogene Pass. Made me realize my jeep is overkill for the type of wheeling I will do.

Guess I need to teach my copilot how to take pictures.

I took the Jeep to the Unofficial Jeep invasion at the Silver Lake Sand dunes. I had not planned on going, but my wife went out of town with some friends so off I went. It was also the perfect time to pick up the kid that I mentor through Big Brothers. I have taken him out on a day trip to the trails, but he had never been to the sand dunes. I also told him that he could bring a couple of his friends along also.

Some of the Lansing Area Jeep club crew.

I was able to talk a guy into giving my little brother a ride in a Monster truck. And he gave him an awesome ride. his friends were to scared to ride in the truck.

that is awesome that you do that for that young man. kids need to be exposed to good hobbies early in life, hopefully he will be hooked and a fan for life.

He loves working on vehicles and driving my beater Jeep on the trails. He has a hard road to go though and I am able to provide him with an escape from his normal life at time.

washed the mud off and finally figured out and fixed the damn soft top rattle. The short version look where the support bars that go across the top end near the hinges of the soft top frame the 2 are hitting. I wrapped the end of the support bar in electric tape and drove it and no more rattle. THANKFULLY dang thing was driving me nuts.

I haven’t had a chance to post. This was last week in Moab. One of the best trips I’ve had with some great friends.

The girlfriend and I took my Jeep for the last trip of our tour in Europe to Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany and then cruised the Kaunertal glacier road In Austria the day after from the valley floor all the way up to the edge of the Glacier. It was absolutely amazing. A great goodbye to Germany/Europe after 3 years.
