Fred Beans in Doylestown really good guys there. They even recommended the AEV. They said 6 hours don’t know if that is with an alignment, and the Jeep would still be covered under warranty just not the lift parts. Jeff Daniel’s Jeep recommended AEV the Mopar is just rebranded lift and over priced for what it is. They said should be 1 day. For the lift and alignment and labor $2,100. Talked to RubiTrux for 20+ minutes they explained both lifts in detail. They said they used the Mopar lift in the beginning because there wasn’t any other choices. They haven’t had any problems with them. I will probably go to the Chiropractor first and do the lift myself.

Finished the install of my Redline Tuning hood struts. Am impressed with the packaging, overall quality, and simple engineering design, and really easy install. No drilling no cutting. Now THAT is what I was waiting for. 10 minute install.

I could tell you, but then....
Sorry to hear this. Military or just work? Either way, sorry about that - at least the Rubi will be there when you get back![/QUOTE
State Department...

Had it all planned out too... six weeks of leave at end of mission... with a garage full of parts and a full tank of gas. Let the wandering begin.

Wandering turned to wondering with a phone call.

That light bar looks AWESOME..... any issues with it? wind noise?

Thanks.
No issues! idk whether it’s the bracket I have because it sits a little higher(i had another bracket that whistled like crazy and switched to this fishbone offroad one) or what but there is 0 whistling as it is. But there is some extra wind that hits the soft top when its up so a little extra wind noise but nothing remotely noticable unless riding in complete silence. With the top down its like it isnt there. Im so happy i didnt have to mod it at all to get rid of noise

This thread is often the type that will require lighting ... after last week's tube-step and tube-half door install (to match the theme from that winch bumper - can see all these in my profile pic), I decided on this simple wrap-around rear bumper that retains the factory tow hook, includes a license plate mount and light, and has a perfect bend for the tow hitch receiver I'll be putting in when I change out the exhaust for a high-clearance system...and I just liked the idea of putting a tow rope on there like my Gramp's WWII pics had a hemp rope on the front bumper :)

I hit a sizeable pothole but the Jeep didn't drop a tear and runs just fine.

Can the JL rest it's hood against the windshield still? I haven't had to get that deep under my hood yet, but I always enjoyed that "feature" on my TJ whenever I had to be wrenching under there. I don't immediately see a reason I can't do this with my JL, with that in mind can these struts be quickly removed/disabled so the hood can be fully opened?
I believe with the struts, the answer is no, you can’t just raise it enough to be able to rest the hood on the windshield. During install, after I hooked one strut, the hood could only go up a tad more as I finished the install on the opposite side. I haven’t tried to remove the struts after install, but I don’t imagine it being that hard.

I was literally just thinking about this earlier today. How long did it take, how many cans, and how’s it holding up?
Took 5 minutes each side to tape and 5 minutes to spray.
3 quick coats each side.
Very little out of a can.

Holds up like a champ. My hinges still look like I just did them yesterday, going on a year or so now...

Wow only 3 coats? I thought the minimum was 5? And you did your hinges as well? I hadn’t even noticed in the picture. Also get out of my head!

I’m a Jeep newbie! I love, love, love my Mojito! I have done some little things to it since I bought it on June 3rd.
I went to look at Punk’n, but then saw this Mojito! and the color grew on me quickly.
The only thing it did not have, that was a must have for me were the LED lights. They were a pain, but worth it. I added the headlight package, the taillights, the fog lights, and after a few headaches with the Mopar daytime lamps, I added the Morimoto ones with the sequential turn signals and activated them with my tazer. That was the more complicated of the mods, but I live that I’ve been able to do it all, it’s been fun.
So far, I’ve added Rubi take-off’s, the Boomerang Mojito! tire cover, my “J-Waggn” license plate (one of my best friends picked it), my rugged ridge mats and cargo liner, the Mopar grab handles, the Mopar billet pedals, the Mopar stainless steel skid plates, the rugged ridge headlight covers, and the rugged ridge tail light covers.
I couldn’t resist, and also bought a soft top for when the weather in AZ finally gets nice.
I’m really loving being a part of this awesome community, and I smile from ear to ear when I drive it. I think it’s become an expensive addiction. Lol.
The day I took it home vs tonight. I’ll take better day pictures.
