All that good Navy Submarine Training is getting put to use I see....Installed CB antenna, ARB fridge outlet on right side of cargo area, USB outlet with voltage display on left side of cargo area, found my aux switch wire bundle, labeled them and put them on a distribution bus.
Not sure if CB antenna will need a grounding wire. I almost spliced into cargo area cigarette outlet for USB outlet but don't like messing with factory wiring if I can help it plus I don't like those splice connectors. Ran 16 gauge wire from the 2 cargo loads (ARB and USB) to the aux switch wire bundle only to see how tiny the continuous powered wire is. I can't imagine that line handling more than 5 amps. Fuse is 15 amps, but still made me nervous so ran wire through firewall to battery.
This electrical work is slow.....which connector to use, what size wire, ohhh... I cut wire too short, do I take wire through cab, do I go underneath cab, do I want continuous or ignition, great.... another trip to Home Depot, Ouch.... I freaking told myself that wire was hot and I still went ahead and touched it anyway, why does my back hurt....
Very nice. I added it to the red accessories thread. It is #292 - https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/fo...es-red-parts-red-upgrades-red-mods-more.6741/Installed American trail products rubicon red aluminum grab handles
Just "nuc" it out.....Day 18
Watched workers cap a well that was drilled in 1913. Wait... Sorry that's not Jeep related. Installed funny sticker on dash. Wired rear bumper lights to reverse light circuit. Installed front bumper LED light bar. Not sure I like the look of light bar on top of bull bar. I guess it just seems like bull bars are meant to be plain. I'll try to move it under bull bar, but it's very tight and can't get a socket wrench in between winch and bumper. Can't really come from underneath bumper either. Fog light are in the way and they are not fun to remove. Removing winch would help but that's not fun either. If I can run a nuclear reactor I can do this though....at least that's what I keep telling myself.. ...
I have the same shocks. Do you know what inner-liners you are going with?Road armor bumper and winch plate
American Adventure Lab high line inner fender eliminator
Now I need to address the inner fender area.
Hey! It's the Bestop Trektop NX Soft Top - Black Twill! Here is a link to it! I absolutely LOVE it!!! Installation is a bit long - but def worth it!What soft top is that? Thanks
Good call on moving the light bar, I think it looks better that way.......Day 19
I swear this stuff is getting slower.....
Moved front bumper LED to below bull bar. Looks better I think, but not fun installing. Had to make a curved 14mm wrench out of aluminum flat bar. Installed dual dash cam (too many idiots on the road). I like to let them talk to the officer first and then say "oh really....?". Installed AFE rock basher exhaust. Added a ground bus bar next to HD switch panel. Talking to detailing company about ceramic coatings. $1000 for 5 year and $1230 for 9 year.... Ughhhh
