My first tough Jeep mod and first real mod ever outside of audio upgrades

This beast was a pain!

Decided to do the winch install as well just havent hooked the lines up or spooled the rope.

I could have done the install myself if it werent for the mountings bolt plate that is only secured by those plastic square pieces to hold it in place until you put the nut on.

Tried meself but kept knocking the bolts out so had the neighbor hold it up as i guided each one in.

Next weekend....rear bumper!

Yes sir! Just dont make the mistake of installing fogs upside down like I did lol

Did some tests and I dont see an issue with "blinding" but Ill eventually turn them the correct way. Its just a beast of a bumper and I dont feel like removing it right now. Definitely feels like the OTHER car will hurt more than my JL if anything were to ever happen though!

After a nice wash and temps in the 80s, I installed the Alien Sunshade.

I really like the look of the white Alien Shade with the white jeep. How is that white holding up?

Any word on the whistling? Do yours or have the rails been improved? I’ve been on the fence about them.

American Adventure Lab high line inner fender eliminator. Stock fenders with American Adventure Lab brace and their LED kit.

My rack whistles too. I'm trying to train it to whistle this tune... I'm getting close.


I took off the kayak mounts, adjustable clamps, and installed some channel rubber in the grooves. Now it whistles like this:

Installed the Sunrider for hardtop today on the wife’s Jeep. Took about 30 minutes. Here is hoping I got the z clips right. Lol

First time use - Loaded up Wruby with my Thule rack, Kuat extender, and all 4 bikes and the fam went on a trail ride. Couldn’t pass up 75 degrees here in Iowa. Whole setup worked like a charm!
