I've seen this debated. Some, like myself, say the lowest gear that opposes the slope, as I mentioned earlier. Others say the lowest gear regardless of slope, so Reverse. Some are dead-set against leaving it in gear, thinking it is too hard on the gears and transmission.

I personally will not use my parking brake. It may be different on the JL (I don't have mine yet) but the JK hand brake is shit and cannot hold it at all. Even if it could, I won't use it in the winter months out of fear of the brakes freezing and being torn off once proceeding (heard a few horror stories, so I prefer to just avoid) and I don't want to get in the habit in the warmer months then forget to shake it for winter.

Just my view on it :like:
Being a MN farmboy, I can relate to not using the brake. We never set it growing up because it would inevitably freeze up on you. I've never used reverse simply because the engine should never be given the opportunity to run backwards, but it's really just the habit. I habitually set it in 2nd, pull the brake, and shut the jeep off. The extra weight of all the mods plus adding 4.88's, just makes it easier to turn the motor over through the transmission. The parking brake actually holds really well. There's been a noticeable amount of cable stretch since new and probably could use an adjustment, but I used it a lot in the mountains out in Colorado. I was able to trust it. I'll just be a bit more weary now.

Installed RC spacer lift on Saturday. Looks so much better and no more rubbing the back fender. I also put on some Rubi rails a couple weeks ago.

Sliders with steps are next. Wife and kids had to climb into the Jeep last night and didn’t like it too much.

It is some good soap have not run into a bad product from them yet.
We went to Colorado and first thing after getting bags out was to wash all the salt and de icer off I can't imagine having to wait all winter. I went through a gallon of windshield fluid while we were there
Heated coin wash bays are the secret. And random 60F days in the dead of winter.

Look great! Definitely the best solution I’ve seen yet. How hard was the install so far? Just drill a couple holes? Keep us posted on the wiring aspect and the end results.

The install of the lights was really straight forward. Hardest part is to make sure they are the same height & symmetrical. Oddly the bumper is a bit different on each side so you have to triple check your measurements. Honestly, if you're willing to drill a 1/34" hole in your bumper, there was nothing behind that spot and I didn't even have to take the bumper off.

I'll probably upgrade to an aftermarket bumper eventually - and i'll reuse these lights flush mount into that too.

I'm planning to wire to reverse and to Aux - had to order some diodes which will be here tomorrow. I'll wire up next weekend, along with another rigid I ordered for cargo area. The Brawlee is nice, but useless when I swap to the soft top for summer.

Installed and adjusted these tube doors with cargo nets. Excited for the warm weather. Hopefully switching tops this week.

Sweet! Did they come with mirrors or did you buy separate?
