I just used nuts and bolts with some thread lock, much easier.

Tell us what size bolts you used?? What do I care at this point I'm moving to Cedar City Utah from Dallas so crime will be the last thing on my mind.

Hoo boy, I remember that job too. I was <this> close to bunting to the aluminum 1/4" rivets that I had on hand, in lieu of using the steel rivets provided with the hood lock. I prevailed in the end, though.

I used 1/4" bolts, don't remember the length, probably around 3/4 to 1 inch. I've done 2 JL's that way, my previous '20 and now my '22. Easy as you can get. Just as strong and can't be reached with the hood closed. Pic of outside and also of looking down through latch space.

Upgraded my FAK. I had a prior version of the same kit (My Medic MYFAK Large Pro), but the new one is better organized to reduce the chaos of finding what you need in an emergency.
Theres some garbage stuff in this kit (like the rapid tourniquet) that needs to be replaced, but the kit is a good starting point. Having used it for a year Iāve realized itās short on some supplies (like minor burn stuff) that you need to double down onā¦ a not uncommon issue with prebuilt FAKs.
Added more tourniquets, an epi-pen for my wife and Leatherman Raptor to the outside.

Yea it's allot of fun to get 300#s on RK Pro joints. Have to pull the arms once set to lenth then stick them in your home built Jig and go ape sh%t on them. Not to mention spending a fortune for the torque wrench and HD crows feet to do the job.Fortunately Iām able to stand up and do it, it also helps to wedge something between the the crescent wrench handle and the bumper, like a 2x4 in my case works perfectā¦ā¦ also, in my case it helps that I have a strong back to go with my weak mindā¦

Can you share which light that is?Engine bay led light. Hooked it up with factory aux switch. Easy but satisfying.

Best sill protectors!I received my package from ExtremeTerrain with my Rugged Ridge Ultimate Grab Bars and Rugged Ridge Door Sill Protectors and got them installed. I got the door sill protection for pennies on the dollar through an open-box sale and paid only $20 for them. I call that a win. Essentially I bought two good items for the price of one.

THe best steps!!!Finally did the mod I've been wanting to for over two years today - installed LoD Destroyer steps. Huge thanks to Mike @Headbarcode for his help and answering all my questions. They look fantastic on, I'm not looking forward to drilling the extra holes for the rear brackets but other than that I'm a pretty happy customer.
Drivers side on after I loosened or broke the body bolt
Passenger side on after I notched the factory skid plate to allow room for the bolt to go in straight and hit the flag nut. I swear this one just wanted to keep punking me by turning like it was threading and then falling out.
Glam shot in the driveway after cleanup. I also gave her a wash today to free any road salt from getting trapped.
