Picked up my Sunrider for hardtop from the local shop and put it on before heading to Gatlinburg Friday.

Was considering putting the soft top back on but the more I think about it the more I come to the conclusion that I dont like the soft top.

I opened up the tailgate and rear window to check out the dealers "repair" for the rear window defroster. I discovered that the repair lasted less than a day. Now I gotta go get my $$ back!

Mine has also detached itself.

I plan to repair it myself, I don't trust the dealer to do a job to my standards

Originally I had ordered the kit that the TSB says needs to be used. Then I discovered that the "fix" was covered by my extended warranty. After speaking with the service manager, they are to try repairing the detached connection 1 time, if it fails, then they replace the back glass.

I figured that may be the smarter way to go, so I went with the extended warranty option & I returned the repair kit. They have already ordered an new rear window to be installed in the near future.

Installed metalcloaks trackball reinforcement bracket and sector shaft brace this evening. Wasn't the easiest as the holes they want you to drill are just slightly off center of the frame seam. Which leaves it uneven. Damn near broke my wrest when the 11/16 drill bit decide to grab upon punch through!
Got it done though.
Oh and I hate drilling over head! Hot chip! Hot chip! Hot chip!!

The light comes with a universal mechanical switch and fuse on the ground lead, which is odd and not ideal. I made some modifications and hooked it up with Aux switch where it has its own fuse. That way the wire is not constantly hot.

And I don't need the light to come on every time I open the hood.

I received my package from ExtremeTerrain with my Rugged Ridge Ultimate Grab Bars and Rugged Ridge Door Sill Protectors and got them installed. I got the door sill protection for pennies on the dollar through an open-box sale and paid only $20 for them. I call that a win. Essentially I bought two good items for the price of one.
