I have these SRC sliders it does help a bit with mud on the handles. they're pretty stout too. I have used them quite a few times on obstacles. I tend to use Rust-o-leum truck bed in a rattle can to touch them up. great looking rig!
Thank you! They look really well built and should be able to take a pretty good hit. The packaging was absolutely incredible also. Ive never seen a part packed like that.

Installed the More Hide-a-steps. Really happy with how they look can’t see them from above. And they work well for getting in. Not useful for getting out. And installed the Mopar grab handles (finally). The combination improves the ease of getting into my lifted Jeep a lot.

I have one on the pass side for the wife. Super easy install. Bit of a pain to take off when wheeling, the pin does get rusty so some WD40 and a good whack with a hammer and an old screwdriver helps.

Good tip! It certainly was a pain to put in brand new, so I can imagine it gets tough. I got them for the kids and the wife, just to help. So I figured all of them at that point. Although all of them have been able to get in and out without it.

And if they should swing out, you could add a strike plate to the wall behind the door for it to latch on. I did such for my half doors - they liked to move around since our house isn't super level.

Nice job! What latch did you use? I use a bungee cord to keep mine from swinging, you are obviously smarter than I.

Thanks. That's what I thought. If only the OEM halvsies were available a la carte via the dealer's Parts Counter...

The few sets of factory half doors that I've seen for sale on this forum are usually priced in such a manner to suggest they're the seller's ticket out of poverty.

C'mon, Stellantis. Get on the stick!
I count myself lucky...got my 4dr half door set (in white) from a member here for$3900 AND he drove to ME 2 1/2 hours to get them :O And they were all un-opened boxes and no damage to boxes or doors.

I was ok with the option of keeping them white & run "Red, White & Blue" but the wife insisted I get them re-painted as she wasn't going to let me drive around looking "ghetto" with such an expensive vehicle.:CWL::LOL:

BUT I can say, I will have paid in the end what some are asking after I get the doors back from getting re-painted OBM. BUT Ocean Blue Metallic was never offered with half door option. Hopefully will be getting them back in a couple weeks!

I don't know about all that! Just a replacement OEM door strike plate for the JL, Quadratec and a bunch of others offer them as replacement parts. I used some scrap two by to stud mount them and get the angles just so.

Anyone with a Willys or Sport runnning 315-70 or 35x12.5” wide tires on the stock rims? Wondering how much rubbing there might be, if a simple spacer would take care of it. I like my rims and they’re pretty light compared to most aftermarket, plus they’re free, so not motivated to get new ones. Will be lifting so height is not a concern.

Might try the wheel and tire thread, lots of good info there
