Agreed. I was already order replacement Trail Rated badges, new OEM Jeep emblems and even Plastidip the tow hooks so that there is no red on my Rubiconās.

You guys understand about "sunk cost fallacy" right?
So I did in fact order a 4xe trail rated badge. I've got it in my garage. I went to remove the existing badge - applied my heat gun to it, tried to run some dental floss behind it - and the floss shredded.
... tried to pry it off, and my plastic pry-tool snapped.
Those things are ON there. (One youtube I looked up - in fact had the same thing, part of the video is him breaking his plastic pry-tools...)
Anyhow, I thought - this isn't that big a deal. A little modeling paint, and done.
And I was done. Until it rained.
OK, take two. I *could* revisit removal and install of a new badge, but NO...... I'm on a mission now.
And repainting it gives me the opportunity to make it multi-color, which no replacement is.I acknowledge the fact that I may, perhaps, be a wee bit stubborn. But until/unless you've tried to remove one of those "just" replacing it isn't quite as simple as you might think, and repainting the badge may also not be as complicated as you might think.
Here it is after this morning's spray on clear coat. I'll take the painters masking tape off tonight.
But I think the "snow capped" mountains is going to be a unique look.
........and, if not.... well I've still got that 4xe badge in my pocket.

I think I've read them posting about leaving an inch clearance from the trim pieces to make it install easier.Installed Kilmat throughout my jeep today followed by Armorlite flooring. it was a tough install. I might sell the Jeep if ever have to remove those mats!

It is quieter, but still no luxury ride. I put the armorlite in to combat dog hair and figured Iād lay the sound deadening in while everything was out. I havenāt done 70mph on the highway yet to see if it was worth sacrificing a full Saturday to install.

Not a new mod per se, as I've have the Baja Designs Lower A-Pillar Squadron Pro on my jeep since last year. However, I've now cleaned-up the install by cutting the BD wiring harness and removing all the extra cables (inc. fuse/switch) for a more professional appearance and since I'm connecting directly to the the 15amp Aux 3 pigtail via BadgeGlow Simple Aux (special thanks to Headbarcode for his guidance).
Once i had designed the new Y harness (measuring, cutting, splicing, soldering, crimping etc), I unsnapped the black plastic tray that runs across the firewall and ran the cable inside along the other factory wires, making my install seamless. Most people zip-tie harness outside right next to the tray without realizing there is this space right inside. Then, using the Simple Aux board, I attached the the Aux 3 wire with the Simple Aux 3 wire. I then took the white wire from my harness and attached it to the 3rd screw on the Aux board and black harness wire to ground and voila...
