Re-torqued the Teraflex tire carrier setup and checked the license plate mount. All good there!

Replaced the driver side AAL turn signal, first one died after about 3 months. It’s only painful if you are reusing the fender liners like I am. I love the turn signal pattern but I am not pleased with how quickly it needed replacing.

3 months is absolutely unacceptable considering the cost and wait time for those things.

Came accross something really peculiar today on my JLU. Maybe someone can shed some light. Spent the afternoon tapping my OEM auto dim mirror wiring into the Compass Module wiring (uses the same wires per LIN Bus system). When I got behind the passenger airbag, I found that this compass module wiring is not plugged into anything, it is just clipped into a slot in the dash trim. Funny thing is, my compass works…. How is this possible without a compass module. Do the tech package have compass embedded in the 7” screen or instrument cluster?

Long story short, I’m still not sure I’m my auto dim mirror is working, I have power and ground to the mirror, and the icon in uconnect, but the icon does not change color to signify activation when tapped…

Not sure I’ve ever mentioned it before....but I buy my 5W40 Shell Rotella T6 in five gallon buckets for my 2022 RAM 5500 Cab & Chassis that I use for hotshot work.

I was pleased as punch to find a gallon of T6 syn 5W-40 in stock recently after it being MIA for a good long time. It's the Ural's winter feed and soon enough the mercury will stay below 50°F, which compels the thinner oil.

I am sooo glad you posted this. I bought the same thing and it did not line up right and I stripped a couple of my bolts. Felt like an idiot. Thought I had done something wrong since stuff didn’t line up. All is well though, just went to a JK unit and with a few adaptors went old school. Love the Fox now.

So to fix my issue, I expand one of the axle bracket holes to a slightly larger size, thus allowing all 3 bolts to line up correctly. I will be providing fox feedback on this. Love the shock...steering feels so much better now.

Replaced axle shafts due to a bent flange, and found out splines on one of them are twisted already. Hopefully Chromoly ones would hold up better lol

I had one quit too….. but turns out I had some first gen lights, AAL sent replacement new style light no problem, but I had to buy the other side so they would match…… but they did give me a substantial discount on it…….been over 2 years now, no issues…..

I took mine up to Holcomb Valley trail in Big Bear. All was going fine until the wife and kiddo begged me to splash into the puddles. It took me 3hrs of pressure washing it to get that crap off!!!

...And then I saw my motor. OMG. Everything was pure brown. Everything!!! Oh no!

Thank god I had some degreaser spray. I soaked my motor in that and pressure washed it all off. Looks brand new again. At least what I can see...lol!

I won't do that again!
