i had the same issue. i ended up putting a light coat of Sugru Black putty on the underside and stopped all the leaks. Love them
Great tip! I’ll have to look into doing that. Thanks!

Let the games begin! First “mod” on the new rig. Five year old needed some help getting in/out so installed some Rock Slide Engineering steps today. Install wasn’t too bad but definitely helps to have another person help out. Lot more goodies on the way!

Right when I thought all the excitement was over, mailman comes with a giant box on his shoulders.

ended up installing my Tuffy tailgate lockbox. Thinking of getting some form fit foam and cutting to shape for an ar15 back there. What do you think?

Said there was no key fob detected. Cycled through all the settings. Tried about 3 times then came in and checked this forum. Read to try the other fob. Same thing for the first three times but then it started up. Went and ran errands and it started right up each time.
Interesting…mine did the same for both fobs, except i had to press the fob to the button to start it. Is there a battery in my fob that i need to replace or some other issue?

It does sound like you need a new battery in your fob. By pressing the fob to the start button you are actually using a different mechanism to do the wireless communication, one that doesn't rely on the battery.

thank you so much! 🙏🏽 I’ll replace the battery and see what happens. However, as long as I can keep starting it by pressing the fob to the button, I’m good. I just don’t want the jeep cutting off while I’m driving if it somehow loses connection, if that’s even possible.
