Great job simple, I can't believe how cheap the camera is.
Can you show the camera installed and the location of that uconnect harness.
Thanks
I can snap a picture of the camera in a bit. Assuming you drill the right size hole it sits in there flush. I started drilling a hole dead center on my bumper not realizing there's a support bracket right behind it. Lol. So I have a small hole offset from the camera now.

And the Uconnect harness is behind the stereo itself. It is the main large harness connected to the back size of the radio. Fairly easy to get back there, and there is a YouTube video showing how to remove the JL stereo.

Define fairly easy. I watched the only video I could find and that seemed easy but then again it wasn't the 8.4 screen on a Rubicon.

Just use a trim removal tool and pop off the panel where the push button start is.

Remove two 7mm bolts below the stereo screen (they hold the stereo trim on).

Pull the radio trim off. It's held on by 6 clips that pop out.

Then the radio itself is held in with (4) 7mm screws.

And boom, radio out.

It's actually the easiest radio removal I've ever had in a vehicle.

Can all be done with 1 trim removal tool, and one 7mm socket.

That video you watched of the sport radio removal is the exact same process for the 8.4" stereo.

Did you install it with the top on or off?
I took the driver and passenger roof panels off and did those off the vehicle but I left the top on the back. I did put a piece of thin plastic down over the leather seats when I lightly sanded the ridges where the adhesive strips have contact.

The hardest pieces to get in were the ones in the center, but it was still easy. You just have to slide it into position and press it into the indentation. It was way easier than the all weather cargo liner install. :)

Please let us know how long it takes you and how complicated it is. I would like to get these, and I am told that no drilling is necessary, but if you come across any pitfalls, please share.
Thank you:like:
