You've got a great idea, but I've got bigger problems, it seems.

After an immense amount of fussing with the tire case and it's integrated spare tire camera hole, the WHITE AREA of the 8.4" screen (below) shows the maximum amount of camera coverage I'm left with.

...even if this had turned out to be my ultimate life choice in the expression of vehicular color, I've lost too much real-world horizontal and vertical coverage. To the point of being a danger to the safety of myself and those around me if I ever relied upon the camera again. I'm glad I'm not being tempted into trying to live with that.

I do want to say on Boomerang's behalf (maker of this custom JL Tire Cover) that they custom make their covers to handle all shapes and sizes of spare Wrangler tire covers. I can only presume with the Rubicon's size being the largest that it has the most challenges when it comes to fitment of the camera see-through port. But I'm speculating based upon my own experience here.

It's off the vehicle. It's never going back on. My mistake!
Despite this, I still think it has the possibility to really work out well in the right situation.

Changed the Bull bar color from blue to white to tone down a bit. Took the fair lead off and peeled the plastidip I had off and painted it white. Wrapped the plastic piece behind the fairlead silver to match the hood and side decals. Repainted the beadlock rings, Washed and waxed and went to jeeps n Java event this morning.

Installed the RC 2.5 spacer lift and took the roof rack off for summer time.

I drive a mix of city and interstate daily, and I've been heavy of the skinny pedal because I love.the new sound. Here's today's snapshot...

After a 200 mile interstate trip today, the average is just below 19 mpg.

I‘m going to keep it on so my local Jeep Dealer can see it. He wouldn’t deal. Nada. Criswell was excellent. I drove 5 hours to get the Wrangler he had in stock. I might take it off after a while. Doesn't look bad. Actually it is a nice one.

I did the MBRP muffler delete a few months ago and the end of the tip was already looking kind of ugly. So I cut it off and added a stainless steel one.

Maintenance time! I greased the RCV axles, Dynatrac balljoints, Rock Jock Johnny Joints, and all of the Metal Cloak steering hardware and front driveshaft.

I use two Macnaught K32 grease guns (https://www.macnaughtusa.com/product/manual-grease-gun-k32-02-flexigun/) and each is outfitted with a LocknLube coupler (https://locknlube.com/products/locknlube-grease-coupler).

One is loaded with RCV CV Joint grease and also uses a LocknLube needle dispenser (https://locknlube.com/products/narrow-needle-nose-dispenser?_pos=3&_sid=89468d77e&_ss=r) to be able to install the grease into the flush grease zerk.

The other is loaded with Mystik JT-6 high temperature grease with 3% Moly (https://www.mystiklubes.com/do/product/GREASE/665056002). I have another LocknLube needle dispenser to lube the Dynatrac's as they also have flush grease zerks (I don't want to cross-contaminate the RCV and Mystik grease by using the same one). The LocknLube coupler makes it a fast and (mostly) mess free job. The Johnny Joints can be a real pain to pump grease into, but the grease gun and locking coupler make it a breeze.

Finally got my wheels (matte black level 8 slingshot, 17x8.5 +10) and tires (285/70) ridge grapplers installed. Shout out to @Discount Tire for the painless process, they even extracted the TPMS from the stock wheels with the install.

A few days ago installed dual exhaust, new rear bumper, and a teraflex 1.5 spacer lift/ level.

I have the stance right. Now I just need to lose the halogens up front and decide on some LED lighting and then a bumper. and then a winch.. and then.. and then...... and then.........

What side step do you have?
