How do you like the Bushwacker fendersā¦.been thinking about these to add a little more clearance. I already have spacers against against Willys wheel on 285/75s. How was the fender install?
They look really good only thing is you have to get inner liners. The install is easy. How do you like the Bushwacker fendersā¦.been thinking about these to add a little more clearance. I already have spacers against against Willys wheel on 285/75s. How was the fender install?
Ok, did the install on this. First impression - Iām very pleased with the results. Came out just like I hoped, and the color of the flares is a perfect color match to the stock fenders - I mean, really dead on. My wife didnāt even notice I installed them at first. She was like, āOh, those werenāt there before?āGonna attempt to install āEZ Flares XLā on my Jeep tomorrow. My paint has been getting abused with rocks, salt, and debris this winter up in New England, especially with some extra tire pokeā¦which I like btwā¦ So to help save my paint (and maybe some people driving around me) and increase DOT compliance, Iām gonna give these a go. I like how they look and that they are flexible so no biggie with hitting stuff off-road, and should help cut down on the rooster tails! I compared them to my current setup, and they should just cover my tread, so should be just right. Spent some time prepping the fender surfaces earlier. More to comeā¦
Those look pretty good! Much better than some of the other add-a-flare styles I've seenOk, did the install on this. First impression - Iām very pleased with the results. For installation, you really have to take your time to get everything lined up right the first time, and really work them with a lot of hand pressure and the heat gun as you go. Watched āVector Offroad JKā video of these before installing, very helpful. I also used a 1-inch wallpaper hand roller to really work them up in there to ensure no air bubbles and best adherence, and especially around the little nutserts that hold the fender covers on. After an hour of letting them sit, I tried messing with them to see how good they were on there - no give; they are on there pretty darn good! Only time, road debris, and car washes will tell, though! Regardless, I had to try something to battle these nasty New England roads! Hereās before and after:
Thanks, yeah, they came out pretty good! One package is enough to do 2 fenders, and each had at least 2-3 feet of slack to work with vs what I actually needed (you trim the excess after you put them on). So you have to get two packages to do all four fenders. I used the āāXLā 2 inch ones. They have 1 inch ones, but those are more for cars instead of trucks. Those look pretty good!
