I like many of your posts but saying what you said is pretty much a d*** thing to say. That's not my style either but to each their own. Not sure why people feel compelled to mock others tastes in their jeep build. If it's a buddy, mock away! That's what friends are for, but to do it to strangers? D*** move simpleJL!
Couldn't agree more. I do like to see what and how everyone does to modify their jeeps to make it their own. Any customization is cool with me. Now the guys putting the MSU stickers on their Jeeps, well that is just going too far. haha. Go Blue!

I couldn’t find the original post SimpleJL was responding to, but I often wonder “why would someone do that” to their bikes, civics and Jeeps that is quite the opposite of the design intent, although I admit I am not the most creative person in the world.

I'd sure hope someone would tell me if my modifications make my vehicle look atrocious.

Think of it as constructive advice. Or constructive criticism.

This is the internet. This is a forum. You can't post up pictures of your ride and expect only positive opinions and responses.

And, don't be so easily offended. :surprised:

It was that post I quoted above yours.

A winch. A ton of led light bars. And about 2 inches of rubber over those massive wheels.

It's a purely poser vehicle. If he didn't put the "offroad" goodies on that on-road vehicle, then it wouldn't be nearly as difficult to look at.

It's literally having an identity crisis. I'm here to advise for an intervention. ;)

I'm the same way...tell me if you don't like what you see. I'm not a "Snowflake" and you're not going to hurt my feelings. I know that my Jeep is not spec'd to everyone's liking but it is to mine and that's all that matters. That's part of what's wrong with this country...you can't ever speak your mind anymore without worrying that you've hurt someone's feelings...that they may cry!!! :swear: Please grow a set!!! :headbang: I'm soooo tired of that way of thinking...CRAP! Ok...sorry...I'm off my soap box...for now.

Do you have any more pictures? The new roof texture looks really good in black.
I’ll try to get the top off again this weekend. But here’s the front panel on the ground.

That turned out great! Did you have to do much masking off? Also, how many coats and how much dip did it take?
Thanks guys, it was really a project born of boredom. The panels already had some sort of design so the plasti-dip came out nice and subtle. I did around 5 coats/ panel so I don’t think you’ll need more than 6 cans for the entire roof. Masking the edges and the clips were the tedious part. Total time was a bit over 2 hours.
