I installed the driver side hinge step. Went way smoother than the passenger side yesterday.
I would hazard a guess that your tailgate has sagged some. The best way to fit it is to get in the back with a light and have someone close the tailgate as you watch it align and if you cannot adjust it out with the latch module, then loosening and adjusting the tailgate will be needed.Did you have any issues with the latch thing? I got one for Xmas too but felt too tight. Wouldn’t close. Do you have to more or less slam it close?
Just curious, did you notice any engine temp differences with this grille? So I had an aftermarket grille on my JL..

I feel your pain I recently replaced both of mine, too, when I started getting the dashboard warning message regarding temporarily not firing up my auxiliary items while the battery charged. It was definitely a PITA, but unlike many I did not remove the inner fender liner and went in from the top after watching the great [Banned Site] video on this subject. Took me about an hour as well, but it went very smoothly. After batteries sitting in the garage for 3 months and daily charging of batteries last month or so I finally spent the 3 hours it took to replace the goddamn batteries. Hour of it was cause of aftermarket liner and stripped out bolts but still…what a pain. Will definitely do the AUX bypass next time around.
That is really interesting. I did not have that happen when I did my grille/headlight/fog inserts last year with Rust-o-leum matte black and the matching matte clearcoat. It is still holding up super-well as matte black with no olive tint, although on the right vehicle that's a pretty cool color! Glad you were able to get it like you want it, but sorry about the extra pain.I strongly urge anyone thinking of using this crap to buy anything else. Rust oleum Matte black finish SUCKS. It turns out a dark olive drab. Looks horrible. Had to go and buy Krylon matte black to cover this eye sore up.
Too be honest I almost left it as a throw to my 22yrs in the Army before retirement BUT the green DIDNT blend well with Granite Metallic, so I had to change. Your right if I had another color like brown or black then the color would work Nice Jeep by the way!!!That is really interesting.
