This looks pretty awesome. I have an ARB compressor under my passenger seat. What is your opinion, would this impact any maintenance, repair, upkeep, on that compressor? So a bud of mine, Mike designed a new secure cargo storage solution for a JLU and a JKU. He took his prototype to SEMA 2021 and won the New Product award for his design.
This is his web site. While I have posted the pics I took of his storage system in my Jeep. Just remember that I have his prototype and there as been some minor changes to the ones that will be up for sale on his web site.
His web site is

His storage compartment fills in the footwell in the rear seat area after you take the rear seats out. There are three separate compartments. The storage compartments have nice lockable latches, nice lift struts to hold the access doors open, has LED lights to aluminate the inside of the compartments and the center compartment has two 12 volt sockets, a battery voltage meter and a power switch. You can plug the storage system into the front dash 12 volt socket or the rear 12 volt socket or wire it to a power source of your choosing. I will be wiring it directly to my outlet that powers my fridge in the back.
For install, it take about five minutes after you remove the rear seats. My rear seats have been gone for months now. So all I had to do was sit it into place and secure it with the 4 bolts that used to secure the seats to the floor. I am talking super easy.
looks like this outside of the Jeep.
This is the center compartment. You can see the LED lights, two 12 volt sockets, the power switch, the battery voltage meter and the lift strut. You can access this compartment from the front seat.
This is the drives side. It gives you a good look at the locking latches.
A view of the top of the storage system. It has a carpet like covering on the top that I think would match up great with the stock Jeep fabric. Yet I have no stock Jeep fabric in the back of my JLUR to show you.
You can pre-order one of these and he said that these will be available in mid January. Mike designed this in the small town of St. Johns Michigan and he has a place in Ohio that is going to manufacture them for him. He has a great guy, loves to Jeep and just generally a guy that you want around your camp fire or along with you out on the trail. This is designed and built in the USA. So if you are looking for a storage solution that is secure and American made this is it. It is also nice because you can just buy this and not have to buy full blown system like some of the other make you buy just to do the footwell storage part.
This is Mike's card.
This is his flyer.
If you have any questions about it let me know or give Mike a call. I think this is going to work great for me over the next 11 months of Jeep travel.
