I haven't changed mine yet but I spent about $36 on Amazon for Penzoil Ultra Platinum and a Fram Ultra filter...guessing it will be an easy change!
It took me longer to get the tools than to do the oil change.

buy the stuff at walmart, its cheaper. Usually a few dollars on both the oil and the filter.
The closest Walmart is about 20 miles away the closet Autozone is about 4 miles. Otherwise I would go to Walmart get the oil and filter and enjoy the freak show.

I'd hate to be the owner of the closest car wash.
Knowing what I know about waste water drainage regulations for self-serve car wash facilities, I'd be of a mind to refuse those vehicles. Our local car wash already has signage directed at contractor trucks and excessively muddy vehicles.

It also has cameras in plain view.

What I'm in the midst of doing is my long-awaited front end overhaul. Front driver side is just about completely stripped. Finally continuing with Project Beefcake now that my busy season has passed and the weather isn't hot and humid.

In the dirt no less, here I was crying about doing these things outside the garage on a concrete surface.

Cleaned it and changed the oil. Now for the stupid thing about changing oil. I can get the oil changed at the dealership for $33 a full synthetic oil change and filter. Well just got home from a week long trip and the Jeep says the oil is at 3%. Normally I change it between 20 and 30% but I was on the road.

I get home call the dealership to schedule the oil change and they are two weeks out to do an oil change. They said two of the three oil change techs recently quit.

So off to buy the stuff to change the oil. The oil and filter from Autozone came to $41. Fuck it cost me $8 more to change my own oil.
So... you don't want that extra quart?

What's up with all the oil changes. I have used my Jeep Wave for the 2019 Sahara 3 times at my dealership. All 3 changes my level was at top full mark. I have not used any of mine for the new Rubicon yet. Low mileage. I assume a lot of service techs are over filling.

I do all my larger installs at the heavy equipment repair shop that I was born and raised into. It's always been very spartan and the inside shop space only has enough room to bring in smaller equipment no larger than a wood chipper. It does provide ample tooling, a full welding area, and machine shop but all most work is done out in whatever weather comes our way. We do have a 14'x40'x1" steel plate lining the front face of the building, but some asshole customer :bandit: was hogging it.

.... soft top temperatures are done for the year😢
I am about to take mine off. I hope once this above normal week (Temps) goes by I should be good to go. Texas summer closed mine early June. Looking forward to cooler temps. I can wear coat during winter. 🥶

Chicago here, still rocking the soft top and hoping for a few more weeks before going back to the hard top. Last week was perfect.

I didn't do anything to the Jeep yet as such, but I did paint the Rock Hard 4x4 control arm skids that finally came in. My control arms have taken some damage, and these skids seemed like a good investment. I like the Rancho design better, but the Rancho product is twice as expensive. I went with the Rock Hard and painted them Rancho Red. It's a free country.

They're pretty beefy, and the way they were packaged for shipping was impressive. The last thing I bought that was that well-protected was a windshield.
