honestly,

I failed my kids jeep.
Wth am i doing wrong.
This is after 2 hours.
Tried heat.
Tried goo gone.
Tried arm muscle.
What is jeep using as adhesive bc this normal 10 minute job is going on 2 hours (im working on both sides back and forth).
This is INSANE.
Like I know how to do this. Done it multiple times. But this 2020 rubi aint giving up the adhesive. In fact. I think it stick more with goo gone!

just clean it with window cleaner and then peel it. or you can use a rubber wheel on a drill but keep it slow with light pressure or you can burn the paint

This will remove 3M VHB tape residue, that's probably what Jeep is using.

Looks like you can pick up smaller cans at Autozone (or equivalent) for around $15.

Oh no! Rock Hards are junk. Any way you can cancel that order?

Kidding. I went with Rock Hard front and rear axle side LCA skids. They are beefy and heavy and solid and the rears bolt right on.

I went with Rusty's rear frame side LCA skid. Same, beefy and solid and the driver side bolted right on. Passenger side was a bish because the gas tank skid prevented one of the bolts from going through and the nut from getting on. I had to clearance the tank skid which took a lot of time. Once that was done, I was able to bolt it on.

The front skids from Rock Hard are still to be installed. I can NOT get the factory bolts off. Even my 1000 ft/lb electric torq wrench wont budge them.

So I ordered the front LCAs from the MOPAR lift kit, once those arrive I will have a shop install them and the skids as well as my Artec FAD skid, if it will fit with the LCA skids. Jury is still out on that one.

Anyway, lots of stuff to do.

I took photos but they are under the jeep and dark and suck.

If you haven't already, this will get them bolts off. Spray them, let it marinate for a few minutes... off they come.

Added color matched KC light bar mount, Xprite light bar with backlit, and color matched Limb risers. Then crushed my exhaust tip over the weekend.

Not today but over the last few days, I replaced the stock Rubicon decals on my 4Xe with new Rubicon decals with an Orange trim instead of the electric blue. I like the blue trim on every color 4xe except hydro blue and maybe the firecracker red. I also added an American Flag on the driver side and a Maryland flag on the passenger side. I then used the same orange decal from the new Rubicon stickers to cover the "F" on my Fuel Rim center caps. Last but not least I spent 2 hours last night ripping out my carpet and replacing it with Armorlite. I love it but it took some patience and probably would have been a little easier with another set of hands.

Installed these with the help of my daughter. First project on the Jeep together
