Swapped out the factory halogen headlights and fog lights. The headlights are bunker hill (kiwi master but $10 cheaper) fog lights are some Amazon generic that were 50% off coming to $20 but are adjustable up and down and have the right brackets for the sport bumper. (they just needed the adapter harness for $9).

I finally found time to install my Reid knuckles and Steersmarts aluminum tie rod after having them sit in my garage for a few months. My Dynatrac ball joints got installed a couple of months ago with my truss and I have about 1500 miles on them. They’ve already started to feel loose.

The ball joint thing is not confidence inspiring. Do you think the ball joints are the issue or are they possibly being over stressed by something you haven’t found yet? I’m getting ready to update to them this winter, so I’m curious if there is something to watch out for on install.

Hahahah spurlywerkes. Thanks for the good feedback. I'm working on finishing up the rock light brackets for everyone that ordered both sets. I just need to make it over to my buddies shop to use his welder.

Thanks! I am corrected they are bunker industries. I was about to pull the trigger on the kiwi masters in the same style as they have great reviews on here. Saw these for 10 less and said sure why not. I really like them, woke up while it was still dark to fine tune them and go for a drive. Fog lights work really well and have a super sharp cutoff as well.

Thanks buddy! Just ordered 2 of the 3-piece sets. 1 Gladiator and 1 tread. I'll put the Gladiator on the drivers door and treads on the passenger side and tailgate, to avoid a rear facing soldier. The extra will come in handy in case one gets damaged or swiped off by a tree branch.

Thanks again!
@Headbarcode

Actually, DI Labs has left and right caps for all designs that need to be forward facing. SO, Gladiator on both sides will be facing forward...

Remember, coat the covers with some 303 Protectorant or say Ice Liquid Wax to afford them some Sun protection. Do NOT use Carnuba Wax on them or they will gain white residue..

I’ve only wheeled with these ball joints a couple times. For me, I feel it’s the ball joint and nothing else that’s causing premature wear. However, my steering has no issues with the ball joints being that loose. The only reason I upgraded was that my factory ball joints need to be pulled to have the c gussets welded. For the cost, I would’ve expected it to have a longer life. The plus is it’s easy and cheap to rebuild all 4. I’ve contacted Dynatrac to see if this is an issue and I hope to hear from them on Monday.

That movement is normal, as long as there’s no vertical movement your ok.

Washed my Jeep today with my one and only (for the moment) grandson.

He's almost two years old and this is the first time he's helped me wash my Jeep. Hoping this could be his Jeep one day!

By the way, when he sees a pickup truck he says "twuk"...when he sees anything else, he says "car"...but when he sees a Jeep, he says "jeep" so he's off to a great start :like:

I wouldn’t rebuild them if Dynatrac told me it’s premature wear. Everything drives great and I would know the first place to look if my steering got wonky.

May I ask where you procured the Warn winch cover? I assume purpose is to protect from sun/rain when not in use?

That and all the mud. It’s a universal one by El Jefe that I got on Amazon for $20. It’s a tight fit but it works great and the quality is good. I’ve had it close to 2 years and hasn’t seemed to fade. After it rains, its always good to pull the cover off to allow trapped moisture to escape off the winch.

I spent the morning working on the jeep in the smoke. I added a teraflex 1-1/2 spacer in the rear to level out the jeep.
This is before picture taken last weekend:
