What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

Cool! Which bumper are you coming from and going to? I'll be making a thread for my build once it comes in. The Jeep supposedly has a ship/build date of 8/18.

I went with the Ace Engineering bumper.

After contacting them, they verified that the Warn 12s VR-EVO winch would fit in it.

I already have their rear bumper and stand alone tire carrier and they have proven themselves to be very tough.

I had a Roam front bumper and loved it, but my new Warn winch will not fit in it. This is what the Roam bumper looked like on my Jeep. I loved that the winch was tucked in low and out of the way. But because of the low profile, my new winch will not fit. So I am changing it up.

Tire sites pretty low still, are you using a tire mount like Teraflex? If so what brand?

I got a Rough Country mount for my 35" tire but it sits way to high for me.

I am using the Mopar Tailgate Reinforcement and the Mopar tire relocation kit (I did replace part of the Mopar relocation kit with fabricated stainless).

Helped a friend (mechanic) swap my 2018 JLUS's stock M186 D30 and M220 D44 LSD axles with a set of brand new D44s with e-lockers. Along the way, I also swapped to a Synergy tie rod (necessary with the wider D44's), added a sector shaft brace, and upgraded to a Fox steering stabilizer.

This surgery was definitely beyond my mechanical skills but I had a great time and learned a ton!

Just received this box of goodness yesterday and will attempt to install today. My 2nd major mod in owning her for over 3 years.

Finished the install in about 3 hours. What made it a pain the a$$ was the 93 degree heat outside, making it an oven in my garage. It was awful. But here’s the finished product. I love it. Problem is, it looks very NAKED without a proper winch. I thought I could live without it for a while… but… seeing this, even the wife agrees I HAVE to get a winch.

What do y’all recommend that would fit in my Arcus bumper???

Do Wrangler Rubicons come with locking gas caps or is that something you need to buy separate?

Did the second oil change myself after they did the far too common 6 quarts at my first free oil change. They had one chance and they blew it. I’ll take over from here.

Rubicons come with a fuel door cover. But they have a regular non-locking gas cap like the rest of Wranglers. You need to buy a locking gas cap separately, like I did.

I loved that Roam slimline bumper too. But @chevymitchell cautioned against it for that very reason.

Added recovery boards.

I couldn't NOT get recovery boards because when I got stuck in sand last year in my old sedan, this is what a friendly jeep owner used in order to help me. Me and two other cars stuck a little further down that sandy road .

Finally getting around to make some changes.

Changed the stock front bumper with the Westin WJ2 (led light bar pending).
Rough Country 9-Inch LED Headlights And put the front of the Gobi Roof Rack

Will be changing rear bumper and finishing the gobi rack setup throughout the week.

I deleted the rear seats today as the beginning of my platform project.
I notice the jeep was leaning to one side. Upon investigating, I found one of my bolts was missing that connects the sway bar. Had to fix that as well. I guess it came loose and fell out while off-road.

added my atb twin with the grimm mounting system and wired to my new locker air bank switches...the small black light is a license plate light just to light up the air coupling


side note the clearance of the falcon 3.3 shocks and the grimm mount is about a nickels thickness lol

Installed the RC front pumpkin skid. Forgot to take a picture before I wheeled it. Oh well.

The front is reasonably well protected now. Could always use even more armor. I love how the place I wheel most often has three different colors of mud. Painting with earth tones baby, painting with earth tones!

AVE 2.5" lift arrived...now to put it on.
