Rinsed out the frame rails yesterday and gave it a day to dry out.
Applied 3M cavity wax to the frame rails and 2 of the cross member supports under the Jeep. Can't buy SEM cavity wax in my area - it's labelled as "professional use only" so the shops only wholesale the stuff.
For anyone doing this, donāt wear a TShirt and shorts, it will get on you and it just feels weird when it dries on your skin . Showered right after but noticed my legs were a little hydrophobic. Water beads right off.
And of course, wear a respirator - the stuff mists up pretty good and probably isn't the greatest to breathe in. Doesn't have a skull and crossbones but the safety sheet does list some nasty stuff.
Used about 1 and 1/3 of a can. 3M recommends 2 cans but I think thatās for a truck. 3 coats as recommended.
