What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

No doubt. My wife had a CJ and a TJ in her past marriage / life. And I’ve always been a Harley guy. Everything from my 59 Pan to some Sportys, and Dynas over the years, now to my current bike my 110 CVO StreetGlide. I can tear apart any of those bikes, any year, and get er’ right, (long as I have a Clymer, and some decent time to work on em.). But with that being said I sold my wife’s 2019 WRX STi, and bought her this 18’ JLUS….I only purchased it this past March…and oh boy do I have my hands full. I didn’t realize the 1749173718462828 options there is interior / exterior / suspension / drivetrain, etc. only thing stopping me is my bank account lmao. But it’s become like crack to me. Everything in the last few months has been an extremely exciting and extremely frustrating time deciding what I want, how I want to do it, and trying to work OT to try to cover some funds! Haha. But yeah decided to go all in with this kit, because I know later on down the road I would regret having a smaller stance, but with all the info I’ve gained from this forum, meeting people, and doing research, the amount I already have invested in my Sport, I should’ve bought a damn Rubi, and went from there. Would’ve saved me ALOT of headache making this Sport a beast and a HELL of a lot of money lol. But hey you live and you learn, win some and lose some I guess. But it’s been one hell of a ride so far, and I’m just getting started

If you would have splurged for the Rubi you’d be kicking yourself for spending more on parts you’re just going to replace. My next wrangler will probably be a Sport and I’ll just walk into it knowing the axles are immediately being swapped and rockers will go on.
Don’t be upset about the bank account either, it gives you time to research MORE stuff and update your goals!

Nikon makes the Spur sight, Vortex has some good ones as well. My personal and unsolicited opinion? I don't get the need/benefit for anything more than "iron sights" for self defense distances. If you're shooting at the range, that's cool.

Yep, for self defense or carry, I'm going with iron sights all the way. My G20 has a 6" slide/barrel with the Venom for target shooting and the regular slid/barrel with True Glo TFX sights for bear defense in the wild.

I just haven't been able to adjust and be as quick on target with the red dot as I am with the irons. Not even close. I find myself losing time searching for the dot. It is a totally different game than on a rifle.

Did you have to cut your RokBlokz? I have the Rubicon punch out and I'm curious if the lod slider will need the hole or if it will cover it.

You'll like the Alien... The one I have is just about 3 yrs old (45,000+ miles) and even though I have used and never taken off since installed it still looks new.

When I look at installed Alien Sunshades I always look to see if the very front bungees with the metal T are installed with the T facing up.....

IF, if you install with the T down (you did not) the T has a real real chance of damaging the passenger sun visor..... as it is ends up dangerously close to or actually resting on the visor.

As for cleaning, I have found that if I just take a damp towel and gently wipe both top and underside of my black Alien that it keeps the color clean looking... dust, grime free clean looking..

The chitts you messed up a good micro fiber towel.... they are pricey.... 8-)

Curious, how may JL fender flare clips broke when you pulled the flares.... Flares aren't held on by much and come off so easy easily..

While flares and liners are pulled check out the Aux battery box/holder ... be sure the drain holes in the bottom are open. Look it over you'll soon be doing an Aux battery replacement...

Installed the Rhino Rack Sunseeker 2.5 and went camping this weekend.

After testing it, I think an awning should be an essential item to get. It provides shade, keeps you dry when it rains and makes the whole camping experience more cozy.

Pretty much all the clips broke on removal. Lol. I gave no f*cks because I bought the retention kit from AAL as well.
As for the aux battery…don’t have one, I’m e-torque!

I did my prp seat covers and radio upgrade, need to figure it how to tune for the 6x9s though not a fan until I can get it dialed in.

I look forward to your feedback on getting the 6x9 tune right. Is the sound distribution just different enough than factory that the OEM headunit settings need tweaked? I was considering the MB Quart 6x9 upgrade and tweeters myself.

Picked up a Gladiator grill from a forum member. Rattle can truck bed liner to it and topped it off with some trim/bumper paint to make it a little glossy.
