Fixing stupid....
Spent too many hours in the garage removing the entire lift, arms, and trackbars and then installing all the stock stuff, once i found it all. My garage got up to 95 while working.

THEN the portable AC i ordered arrived, and i spent the next hour mounting & setting it up.

tomorrow i plan to redo all the suspension work in a nice air conditioned garage.

Swapped out the side mirror caps with the OEM export version to add signal lamps, and may have gotten a little carried away with the additional lighting. Hardware installed today, wiring still to be done. Baja S2 combos to light up the side blind spots will be controlled by aux3, 3/4” smoked amber led marker light will tie in with the fogs, and another 3/4” smoked white led underneath the mirror that will serve as a puddle light that comes on with the courtesy lights at unlock. Install not hard but involved a bit of cutting/shaping the caps and some of the mirror support structure with a Dremel. I’ll post again once I have a chance to run the wiring.

Well got my latches in as soon as I was done cleaning up yesterday. I needed a break from the heat at that point so I waited until this morning. Everything is finished up. Afterwards took the doors off as it’s supposed to be sunny most of the week. Put the scooter mirrors on with an additional spacer to make tightening the jam nut easier. Pretty productive morning 😁

Oh and think I am raising the kids right the 21 month old baby kept telling me “doors off jeep” this morning 😂😂

I've recently swapped out my carry pistol for the past 20 years for a Sig P365 XL with a red dot.

Two reasons:

1) My old carry was starting to wear from a lot of range use. Parts are hard to get, and expensive.

2) My old eyes appreciate the red dot at further distances to target.

Not sure I could go back now......
I'm left eye dominant and right handed, but for the life of me, I just couldn't train myself to be as quick and smooth on target as I am holding right handed. I even built both of my rifles to be ambidextrous. My favorite aspect of the non magnified red dot is being able to keep both eyes open and my focus kept on target. Regardless of what eye is stronger, the dot is superimposed. I'm mostly concerned with close and mid range anyway, but on the occasion of wanting to reach out further with a drop-in magnifier, I'm still competent enough to switch shoulders.

I know you guys are talking pistols, not rifles, but I chimed in because I prefer the lightweight aspect of optics small enough to be used on pistols.

We installed the LoD base roof rack yesterday - still need to trim the rear tail lights to get them reinstalled. Typical, had to stop at Home Depot for parts to finish the project, ha (in this case, step bit as my drill bits were too long).

Today we'll install the sliding rack so we can put up our roof top tent!

Well since UPS wanted to lose half my bumper parts, I’m waiting for them now to install my bumper and winch, I did my prp seat covers and radio upgrade, need to figure it how to tune for the 6x9s though not a fan until I can get it dialed in. Love the PRP seat covers though.

Building its half the fun!
No doubt. My wife had a CJ and a TJ in her past marriage / life. And I’ve always been a Harley guy. Everything from my 59 Pan to some Sportys, and Dynas over the years, now to my current bike my 110 CVO StreetGlide. I can tear apart any of those bikes, any year, and get er’ right, (long as I have a Clymer, and some decent time to work on em.). But with that being said I sold my wife’s 2019 WRX STi, and bought her this 18’ JLUS….I only purchased it this past March…and oh boy do I have my hands full. I didn’t realize the 1749173718462828 options there is interior / exterior / suspension / drivetrain, etc. only thing stopping me is my bank account lmao. But it’s become like crack to me. Everything in the last few months has been an extremely exciting and extremely frustrating time deciding what I want, how I want to do it, and trying to work OT to try to cover some funds! Haha. But yeah decided to go all in with this kit, because I know later on down the road I would regret having a smaller stance, but with all the info I’ve gained from this forum, meeting people, and doing research, the amount I already have invested in my Sport, I should’ve bought a damn Rubi, and went from there. Would’ve saved me ALOT of headache making this Sport a beast and a HELL of a lot of money lol. But hey you live and you learn, win some and lose some I guess. But it’s been one hell of a ride so far, and I’m just getting started 👍🏼🤘🏼🍻

Small world. I grew up shooting right-handed, but switched mid career i. the Army due to a dominant left eye. prefer firing handgun and shotguns with the right, rifles with the left. I'm an odd duck, I know.

Did my first oil change since picking up the Jeep. Love how easy it is to reach everything on the 2.0T. Not happy that the dealer I bought it from must have had a young Arnold doing oil changes😡😡. Had to use some large channel locks to get the oil filter to budge.
