What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

Installed Rubicon Fenders. Now I need 35s or 37s.

How was the install? I have a set I need to throw on on the next day or two.

Pretty straight forward. I did one side with the wheel well liner already attached and then the other I put in after the fender. Do it after the fender. Much easier to get the clips installed correctly. Now I’m having issues with my LED turn signals. Trying to figure out the JScan settings.

I think the fenders I got have the side by side halogen lights and the previous owner replaced them with LEDs. I can’t complain too much since I got them super cheap.

Mine were from eBay with a sequential LED signal.

Went chasing a rattle. Been chasing this off and on for a while now. It’s towards the back and rattles under slow moving speeds and sounds as if it’ll rattle right off at any moment. It’s a hollow sound and I’ve checked everything I can think of. Lol.

Pulled both rear tires and checked all suspension bolts and parts. Nothing loose. Removed spare tire and put tape on the hinge catch thing. No change. Thought maybe it was the wiring I installed for the trailer and nothing. Removed the taillights to see if it was that. Nothing. Removed the gas cover and still heard it. Pulled the top down to see if it was that. Removed everything in the trunk snd nothing.

I give up. It’s a Jeep. Someday I’ll track it down but it lives to survive another day. Lol

Any issues with the sequential signals throwing errors?

Finally got my Christmas present the was back ordered 14 weeks from Bolt. Installed in ten mins with getting tools out and making a drink. Super fast and easy. Great product and a little more comforting knowing I have a chance to detour someone from trying to get under the hood. I would recommend 100%. The only down fall is now the center of the grill is was to clean

Switched out factory Rubicon hood decal for some orange accents/outline and digital camo. I didn’t like the red. Added matching side vent. Tinted front two windows to match factory tint. Put wearthertech non drill mud flaps on.

In preparation for a 3.5” lift and 37” tires I got the Rugged Ridge Spartacus HD Tire Carrier. IMO the hardest part is the tear down of everything to get the hinge installed. The installation itself it pretty straightforward, as is the tire carrier itself. Downsides include the mounting of the 3rd brake light. This requires you to carry an extra allen wrench. IMO they would have done better to offer a torx bolt that could make use of the Jeep‘s included tools. Also, this mount leaves the wires more exposed and it just doesn’t look that great IMO. At some point I’ll probably get a LED donut light like I had on my old Jeep. All in all, not bad for the $426 I got it for off Amazon.

Looks good! I am down to this or the Smittybilt, and i'm leaning towards this because it has the third brake light and i've seen better reviews on this solution. Where did you get it on amazon for that price? All the regular sites have it not in stock. I'm probably going to wait until Memorial day to 1 find a deal and 2 hopefullly find it in stock. Can you point me to where you got it from on amazon?
