Retired from Corrections....I have stories.
Mistakes were made, but I enjoyed myself in the garage with some good bourbon and a decent cigar.

We have all been there. It is just better when mistakes can be learned from over a good pour of bourbon and a cigar.

Nah brother, it just came out with more force than I was expecting so my under-vehicle-calculus was off when calculating the trajectory of the oil stream. Happens to the best of us.

Cheers! 🥃
That’s ok, if it’s ever a still summer day and you need a nice breeze just come by my house and I’ll change the oil on my Jeep. As soon as the initial rush of oil comes out and there’s that oil trickle, the wind picks up and blows the oil past the pan. Happens every time.

Maybe consider a spill mat...easy to clean... I also use a wide funnel over the storage container for when that initial burst shoots forward.

I keep a few of these handy > > > Oopsie!

I have 2 spill mats and a huge drain pan and still sometimes wind up spilling. I'm just clumsy as hell, though. :CWL:

Once you try the Zoleo, please report back on how well it works. It appears to be overall a less expensive option than the Garmin Inreach I have, both in terms of up front and monthly costs. One feature I do like on the Inreach is that they offer inexpensive insurance to cover your rescue, should the need arise. I've not heard of this one, so I'm VERY curious about it!

Nice work on the antenna mount, by the way, too!

Oddly enough I always have one of these on hand....until my 18 year old changes his oil and throws it away....because that's what you do.

Well, I took and put on the airplane mode and shut off my Wi-Fi on my phone, and it performed good! But I was at my house... Once I get to the Good Place (camp), then I'll know for sure how it works ... for there's no cell service there at all
