Finally got around to installing some lighting in the cargo area under my Slipstream. Used an Oznium 1 watt 11mm bolt light. I upgraded the lights on my Roam side steps last year, and bought extra with this project in mind. Tied into the roll bar dome light. Might eventually add one on the other side, but happy with this for now.

I’m finally done with MPFSWN. I mocked it up using 1/2” cheap plywood in phase 1, and when we got it right we bought some quality 3/4” plywood. The only part bolted or screwed in is the base in the back, which will remain throughout most of the year. Both, or either, the 40% and 60% can be removed and stored in the trunk in under a minute. I’ll need to buy a 60% delete bracket from goose gear to take out the seat though. That will cost almost half as as much as the rest of the project. All in I’ve about $200 in it. The automotive carpet was $70. The plywood $100 and glue, paint, etc about $30. It fits together very tight with no rattling at all.

This is my first wood working project ever so don’t me too mean with the comments. Lol.

This is amazing! Would you mind sharing some of the design specs? Just picked up a JLU and been wanting to build the same thing

Got my Oracle backup lights installed finally. Elected to use double sided gorilla tape instead of trying to get those screws back in. Tied them together and into the reverse light circuit from the hitch harness and a weather pac connector.
What color were the wires at the hitch? Mine are on the way. Any info appreciated.

I've not yet heard any popping from the new Infinity speakers, either. The product's ad copy on Crutchfield's site materially omits mention of the inclusion of capacitors with the speakers, though, nor the possible need to solder them in place if sound quality suffers. This, on top of the inaccurate plug-and-play installation promise for the 2018+ Wrangler.

I've been buying from Crutchfield since the 80s, and have had a superlative experience in that time, but this go-round was a multi-tiered flub on their part.

I was on the phone with Crutchfield Tech Support after I identified the two installation deficiencies that I mentioned in a previous post (and to be clear, the rep was polite and professional). He claimed no knowledge of the polarity-reversal issue with the Metra adapters. Having the correct terminal pin tool kit allowed me to fix that matter on the bench in short order. Good luck to the owners that have to cut & crimp to fix things.

I did mention to the tech that the wiring chart, on p. 17 of their own Master Sheet for the 2018+ Wrangler, correctly identifies in detail all of the positive and negative factory wire colors. I then suggested that this data could be cross walked to the Metra adapters, if or when they decide to investigate the aforementioned and still-current polarity error.
Not sure if you‘ve all Seen these, but there are kicker speaker upgrades available on amazon. I installed 4 of them plug and play in my 2018 JL and probably will again. See prior posts from others linked below.

I would like to know this as well. Also, a picture of the actual wiring would be helpful if you don’t mind.

To tie the new wheels better with the rest of the Jeep, and in keeping with the "retro" theme, I pasted on white overlays over the Jeep letters, and slapped these chrome covers to the door handles.

The white letters on the fender turned out great, but I am honestly surprised the chrome handles turned out as good as they did. Normally I wouldn’t think red and chrome go together, but here they tie nicely the chrome on the wheel hubs.

What do you guys think? Yay or Nay on the chrome handles?

I did, thanks. The Infinitys (intended for the dashboard) were already in my parts box, so I thought I'd move forward with them. I would like to upgrade the sound bar speakers, also, and will keep the Kickers in mind for that purpose.

Alla LED fog bulbs

How was the fit on the Allas? I've a pair of the same LED fog lights in my parts box; a Christmas gift awaiting installation.
