What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

picked up my high altitude diesel on Monday from Craig at Koons. Tinted the front windows and swapped the antenna for a short bullet. Thinking I’ll do windshield in 70%

what else should I do?

I found a video that shows a trick for replacing the springs: mount the Flex Connect to the swaybar, and then use the leverage provided by the swaybar to pry the Flex Connect open.

However, unlike the straight bolt-on installation on JK, JL’s installation requires cutting the passenger-side lower link mount. In other words: once I cut the lower mount there’s no turning back.

This is a chicken-and-egg situation: on the one hand I don’t know if I will be able to replace the springs until it is installed; on the other, the installation is one-way; it cannot be undone.

I am sending it back.

Sounds like a good plan. I’d be too afraid to modify anything that couldn’t be undone on my Jeep

Had SunTek Ceramic window tint installed on both doors and rear windows. Looks much better with the front windows tinted and really cuts the heat on sunny days

Installed my Dual Battery and 12V/240V setup, took 4 months of planning and getting individual items.

- 210ah Lithium Battery
- Redarc BCDC 50ah charger for the lithium battery
- Cole Hersee 200ah isolator for jump start and connecting both batteries on demand (winching and air compressor)
- 3,000watt AC inverter with built-in AC charger for shore power - runs my induction cooker
- 12V power panel with isolators, USB, Anderson outputs and 5 fused switches for camp lights and fridge

Still need to tidy up the wiring and connect my camp lights and solar panels. So far the panel is holding up great on the hard top side panel/window, used the existing screw/tie down points.

- Washes it and added some tire shine
- Picked up a couple of shackles
- Picked up a rugged ridge trunk mat .. which was the best investment!

I live in a town house complex so I have to carry my garbage to a common garbage bin .. this time the bag leaked of gross chicken juice, smelled like decaying death.

I washes the RR mat and the mess was gone. If I had the cloth, I’d have a worse time.

Put the Badland ZXR 12000 winch on a Rockhard4x4 winch plate that mounts on the plastic bumper of the JL. Sunday or Monday the plate goes on the Rubicon!

Got her all cleaned up. AEV 2.5” dual sport lift and Teraflex track bar went on about a week ago. 35’s will go on next year.
