What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

Did the CavFab rear tire carrier install today. Overall I'm very pleased with the look and the function as it is pretty much perfectly level on the swing out and return, no grinding/hitting/dinging or anything like that when closing back up and doesn't seem to move in the slightest up or down when closing.

Install took me about 4 hours total, 3 hours of actual work time. I had to run to AutoZone 2x, once to get a T55 bit I didn't have and another to get more heat-shrink wire connectors and a pigtail. The kit comes with a mount for the 3rd brake light and the camera but I wanted to run tag lights as well. The best solution for me was to run the Rugged Ridge bolt replacement ones. To do this I put in a pigtail so they could be disconnected not only right up near the light itself, which works but is hard to get to, but also from the inside of the tailgate. This makes it just a bit easier for me when removing the tire from the carrier (the camera and the brake light can be disconnected at the source.

Got the new tires on! Bit of an issue with the spare as it looks like I will need to get or make a relocation bracket. Need to lift the spare up about 1/2”. Had to drop the air pressure down to 20 psi to close the tailgate.

Running any lift at all?
I'm getting the same tires but deciding between 285/75/17 or 285/70/17

I added a piece of silver trim to the front cupholders. It just seemed to be a missing element from the factory...even on the Sport. It adds the finishing touch.

(I do know that the parking brake trim is loose.)

The reviews are correct that the provided tape will not secure the trim to the cupholder. I scientifically applied a series of very small superglue droplets around the perimeter, on the tape's now-exposed adhesive side, and held the trim in place for 1 minute. A perfect and secure fit now.

Just curious as to whether you have the led (I'm assuming so since you also have led headlights) or halogen fog lights? I'm ready to pull the trigger on the lamin-x film for my led fogs, but wanted to make sure there is no size difference between the led & halogen lenses

On Friday I picked up some ROAM rock sliders from @Krondor in Colorado and drove back the same night to Utah. Put them on Saturday. They look good and stop the slush from being thrown up onto the sides. Very happy with them!

No rubbing at all and they line up perfectly with the fender. No lift yet but I was planning on 2.5”. I will run it as is for a couple months and then decide but I am even thinking a 1.5” spacer lift might be in the works!

Earlier this week I installed a 10” Baja Design wide driving amber light bar. I’m using the Homelink garage door opener to operate the lights via a RF relay.
