What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

Finally got around to adding these much needed LED interior lights to make up for the limitations of the weak/dim factory dome light in the earlier JLs.

Also added switches to allow me to turn one or both off if needed.

Man!!! I thought you had been able to install LED bulbs inside the dome light!!! Im also bummed out about the poor lighting that comes from the OEM dome lights. Anyways, congrats on your mod!! looks REALLY GOOD!!.

The JL was winterized today. I sprayed Fluid Film on the inside of the frame rails and some other nooks/crannies on the suspension and underbody. I use an extension hose with a 360 degree nozzle. Great stuff! My 13yo JK frame looks like new because of Fluid Film.

Nice I did the same last week after hitting 10k. Also changed the oil/filter today and did the second rear diff fluid. Changed rear diff fluid at 5k and 10k. Both times it was pretty gross. Probably start doing 10k now.

I’ve been back and forth on getting these. I’m waiting to see if they at least do the 20% off for Black Friday or more (they had 20% off about a month ago, just didn’t pull the trigger). How is the installation wiring wise? I assume you also hooked the turn signal feature up?

Finally gave in and clay barred and ceramic coated my Jeep. Used chemical guys hydro slick great product, easy to wax on and wax off.

Started my floor section. Tomorrow need to put the rubber squares on it.

i took my rear seats out myself and have been debating doing this to my jeep.. having a hard time trying to get myself to put the seats back in

What lights are these? What did you tie them into, the wiring for the factory lights?

Then you tap into the factory dome light harness.

12v - yellow/brown stripe
Ground - black

I decided to add switches too, but not necessary. I did also add a fuze just in case.

After having it for over a year, I finally got around to installing Rusty's track bar bracket. Got it sometime in 2019, but golf kept getting in the way. Better late than never. Easy install, but the top steering box bolt by the coil springs was a pain in the ass.

Have you had any interference between the SteerSmarts track bar and Metalcloak diff cover?
